Image copyright problem with Image:Eurocontronl DMAN R5 small.JPG
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Eurocontronl DMAN R5 small.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:33, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Eurocontrol DMAN R5 small.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Eurocontronl DMAN R5 small.JPG. The copy called Image:Eurocontronl DMAN R5 small.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot (talk) 10:01, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: Email
[edit]Jan Hellström image: "Permission to use on Wikipedia" is not sufficient. We need permission to freely license, for anyone to use, including for commercial use and derivatives under a specific license (GFDL works, but there are many others too). You can read about how to ask for permission, what to ask for, some generic e-mail templates, and what to do with the e-mail once you receive permissions at WP:COPYREQ. Good luck! Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Kimsil! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Richard Winkler - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

[edit]Your addition to Richard Winkler has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. If you believe that the text you added under the Biography section was not a violation of copyright, please feel free to replace it, but also explain your reasoning on the article talk page. License tagging for File:The Flute Player, 1998.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:The Flute Player, 1998.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:06, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. Paintings of Richard Winkler
[edit]Hi, We did receive the permission of Richard Winkler and restored the images. But be aware of the fact that when you take a picture of a painting, the painter still is the one to be mentioned as the author. Jcb (talk) 13:26, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
Christmas Card
[edit]This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Keijo Silander, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://keijosilander.com/about/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:25, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Keijo Silander
[edit]A tag has been placed on Keijo Silander requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. BarkingFish 23:26, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hello! While this is no longer unambiguous copyright infringement since you've asserted rights to release the test, I'm afraid there is another issue here—the article made no assertion of notability, so the article was deleted under criterion A7. While I'm sure you're very proud of your father, Wikipedia is not a memorial, and requires that all subjects of articles have been covered in-depth by multiple third party reliable sources. Even if you put in the copyright release, any subsequent article must cite sources that demonstrate such notability. If there is no such in-depth coverage by independent and reliable sources, I am afraid that would not be a suitable subject for an article. Please let me know if you have any questions.
