Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Kieyuku aozora! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Iku (singer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Survey

[edit]

Hi Kieyuku aozora!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sakanaction (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Electronic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Aoi Nakamura may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • '''Aoi Nakamura'''|中村 蒼|''Nakamura Aoi''}}, born on March 4, 1991 in [[Fukuoka Prefecture|Fukuoka]]), [[Japan]], is a Japanese actor. He belongs to the talent agency LesPros Entertainment.<ref>{{cite

Kieyuku aozora

Fairies

[edit]

Hi! Thank you very much for expanding the Fairies article. You found great sources! Could you help me with understanding one of them? I wanted to add a couple more sentences sourced from it and I don't get it. This paragraph:

I don't understand when exactly they trained for 5 years 10 hours a day. Were they selected to be in the group back in 2006 and then trained? (Unlikely. :D) Or were they all enrolled in the dance schools at a certain age cause the schools accept 7 or 8-year-olds and then train them? --Moscow Connection (talk) 01:40, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've just understood that you simply translated from the Japanese Wikipedia. I forgot there was something like that and maybe I never looked at the references cause I didn't need them. The Japanese Wikipedia also says that they lived in the same dormitory for three months before the debut and that now they go to the same school. Can you find a better explanation about how the group was created, when they were selected, how long they trained before the debut? Cause this is something that I would like to expand the article with. --Moscow Connection (talk) 23:08, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Moscow Connection: Hi, I'm so sorry it took this long to reply, I don't log on often. Yes, as you said, I took from the Japanese Wiki. As I understand, that paragraph you have quoted tallies with what they have talked about before on a TV special that documented the road to Fairies' debut. (Sukkiri! 27 July 2011. This could be added as reference if needed.) Vision Factory came up with the concept of the idol group with actual ability first, and in 2006 through the 13 dance schools, they signed contracts with 100 people to train them. For 5 years, they went through those 10 hour lessons, and then the 7 girls that were the most outstanding were picked to form the group. There is not much else I know that can be verified.
For the living in the same dorm and going to the same school, these are things that all the fans know as they've mentioned on TV a few times. There is no time frame written but here is a blog post that confirms they live together, and here is another that says they go to the same school. I hope this is of some help. --kieyuku (冫、)なぬ!? 17:11, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your explanation!
Do I understand correctly, did they tell the story about the year 2006, 13 schools, 100 people, 5 years, 10-hour lessons and 7 girls in Sukkiri! on 27 July 2011? Can your explanation be added to the article with a reference to the TV special? Or didn't they?
(I should probably just find it online somewhere and watch.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 17:50, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Moscow Connection: Yes, in the TV special, they mentioned 2006, the 13 dance schools, 100 people and the contracts, and the 7 girls picked from there. I think they didn't mention the 5 years of 10 hour lessons but I could be wrong. In that case, you could use the link where the above text came from, together with the TV special as references. (Yes, the show should still be somewhere online if you want to watch it, I believe it was on Youku but I think it's not a good idea to link to it on here.) --kieyuku (冫、)なぬ!? 18:18, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much! (I've just googled for "Fairies Sukkiri" and I have found it!) --Moscow Connection (talk) 00:15, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
