The sections on Ijaz

[edit]

The edits were lost in a fit of vandalism. I have done nothing but to restore them. Kindly discuss this on the talk page. I have started a new topic there. ---~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.68.169.92 (talk) 19:31, 15 June 2013 (UTC) I replied to your comment in your talk page.Kiatdd (talk) 18:22, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for the contributions. A couple of useful resources are WP:MEDRS and WP:MEDMOS. Drop me a note if you have any questions. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your talk page please reply on mine) 15:12, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

Wikimedia commons labelled the picture a case of "sterile non ulcerative keratitis". Is this incorrect? Also thanks for the pyuria catch, wasn't thinking. This is in regard to diffuse lamellar keratitis. 213.232.200.195 (talk) 20:56, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits have transformed 'cataract'. The process actually works! Thank you. --Mdscottis (talk) 18:37, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored the citation numbers. I'm not sure if you intended to remove them or not, or place book references in a different section. I can certainly revert if that is what you intended. --Mdscottis (talk) 22:53, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: AsceticRose

[edit]

Thank you for your reply. Actually, when I started editing Muhammad in Islam, i did not have any fixed planning. But now I see we should have some planning about the contents of this page. I'm exchanging views with another user on this issue. We need discussion on the take page for a better result. You're also welcome. Yes the bio is covered in Muhammad article, but I like to present it according to Islamic traditions.--AsceticRosé talk 05:33, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

template

[edit]

Hi, I have seen that you keep on revering template on Jesus in Islam. I have provided the sources earlier as well on the talk page and still i can provide the sources. Please kindly clarify what is the problem in it if the things are sourced you can not raise questions on it. --Ibrahim ebi (talk) 10:37, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

One of the problems with the templates is that they include "content". "Content" belongs in the article space so that anyone can edit and see the changes each time they are edited. Kiatdd (talk) 10:50, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok i have removed the content. Hope now there will be no such problem. --Ibrahim ebi (talk) 11:08, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see no problem in template:Isa and as you know its talk page is useful, because we do not have time to discuss it all over again. Kiatdd (talk) 11:33, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
On your request i have removed the contents and now there are only links. There is no problem in the template now and i hope you are too satisfied with it. --Ibrahim ebi (talk) 11:50, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

GOD

[edit]

I think you have missed my point. I was talking about the total probability of all such events in the whole of world population since the time of our creation. And, perhaps that could be expanded even further to the all probability of all events since the big bang leading towards appearance of solar system, the earth, life and humans. And, it could have been expanded even more further, past big bang to the moment of the creation of everything. And, in case there wasn't such a point but everything is eternal than its definately absolutely one divided by infinity, which isn't zero but almost zero. Ryanspir (talk) 23:41, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reply. Replied in my talk page. Ryanspir (talk) 15:37, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kiatdd! You're right, I won't be editing those templates again for now, until there are more comments on the situation. About choosing which templates should be kept or deleted, I nominated some of them already, the discussion can be found here. Thanks for the heads-up about the calligraphic image, I changed it to the right one now! Cheers, eh bien mon prince (talk) 18:13, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kiatdd, hope you are well. You have not yet said what you were thinking about my comments! --AsceticRosé talk 17:36, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your valuable reply. But don't you think that some of the biographic info (like the causes of battles, latter Islamic social reforms), about which there are different views between Muslim and non-Muslim sources, can also be included in this article from Muslim perspective? And what about sections like Muhammad in the Quran and Muhammad and the Quran?--AsceticRosé talk 04:13, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Advice required

[edit]

Sorry to disturb you once again! In Muhammad in Islam article, the texts in section Notable early events should come under some headlines. But I'm not sure about the names of the headlines. I've thought of "Orphanhood, a divine plan" for the second para, "God's protection" (combining the third para and the lower text of the first para), and "Early sign of Prophethood" for the last para. What do you think? Also, the section name "Notable early events" should also be changed to "Youth" or "Early Years". Which one do you prefer? --AsceticRosé talk 13:32, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Support. But you people should better discuss these type of proposals at article's talk. Faizan (talk) 13:58, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

reply from AsceticRose

[edit]

1st message: yes, they may look like that, but they are coming under the section "Muslim account of Muhammad", and not directly. You see, in article like Moses in Islam, there are sections like "Test of prophecy" and "Call to prophethood". Without sub-sections, the mother section will look vague.
2nd message: yes, you are right. Most of the wiki pages on Quran chapters are not only poor, but also filled with irrelevant info. They are written in bad style. They really need improvements. I like to do that but am busy with, you know, other article. --AsceticRosé talk 10:14, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that article concerns with Muhammad in Islam,or with "Muslim account of Muhammad", So Muslim point of view should be presented there, and in this perspective, I agree with User:AsceticRose's Arguments. This Article should deal with only the Muslims' viewpoint about their Last Prophet! The article should deal with only Islamic traditions about the Prophet. Your comments like "Another example is the theory that Muhammad suffered from seizure attacks, this page can explain about these theories", is also heart-breaking and it may provide oil to the fire! We are not [[here, to discuss his health, we are here to just present Islamic viewpoint about the Last Prophet. Hope you got it.... Faizan (talk) 13:56, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: proposal about suras

[edit]

I think, the issue you raised is very complex. I’ve the following observation.

  • First of all the interpretation of Quran is very important. The interpretation of any sura (i.e. its verses) bears its significance. But as all wiki editors are not scholars, they are filling wiki pages with whatever they can write. But it does not legalize the exclusion of interpretation.
  • By “original text”, If you mean the Arabic text, then its inclusion into English pages will not lead to a very nice picture!
  • If you include original text and two translations, can you imagine the size of pages?
  • Your suggestion of including only the first few verses (or selected verses) for long suras may create serious problems. For long suras, first few verses may not be the most important parts. About selected verses, there may be disagreement.
  • I think we can start improving these pages like other articles, without setting any structure, because such a structure may be hard to be agreed upon.
  • After all, these are my views only. These may be insufficient.--AsceticRosé talk 15:17, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request re: changes you made to Alpins method of astigmatism analysis

[edit]

I posted a version of this also on my talk page:

Kiatdd, I just noticed that you deleted all reference to Alpins method of astigmatism analysis in the corneal topography section. As I noted in response to your note on my talk page, the entire entry is inadequate, and the Alpins section sticks out only because it talks about that one aspect of corneal topography. Were the entry to be expanded and referenced appropriately, Alpins would appear as only a minor section. And it is not advertising; it is mathematics, which is used daily by ophthalmic surgeons around the world. I ask that you reverse your decision to delete. Thank you. Kcroes (talk) 16:58, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Same rationale applies to Astigmatism (eye) as above. It makes no sense to describe ocular astigmatism without mention of state-of-the-art methods of measuring and analyzing (using approach adopted by the American National Standards Institute. Kcroes (talk) 17:05, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please know that I'd be happy to shorten the passages in question as opposed to throwing the baby out with the bath water. Kcroes (talk) 17:16, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of companions

[edit]

Kiatdd thanks for leaving me the message:

Hi Johnleeds1, this page:List of Sahabah seems neglected, somebody created a template of companions template:Sahabah mentioning 280 names, the page list of sahabah is just a mess, what's your suggestion?

I would say that like the other pages about Islam on Wikipedia it needs improving. Unfortunately Mohammad's companions are being classed as Sunni or Shia in this article even though Sunni and Shia did not exist during the time of Muhammad and they classed them selves as following the religion of Abraham and classed them selves a Muslim. Other articles are even worst --Johnleeds1 (talk) 20:48, 8 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hadith's of the prophet Mohammed sallalahu alayhi we sellem

[edit]

Esselamu aleikum we rahmetullah brother

Do you know what hadith means? Why did u revert my edits when they are not in discrepancy with the etymology, i have translated the word....... the word doesn't mean "tradition" ok? There's another word in arabic which means tradition. What business do you have editing islam topics you not being muslim, and if you are muslim how can you not know what hadith is........ so please go edit some athiest posts.... now if u are muslim go get a hadith book and leanr what it is and quit spreading lies about tradition, ok? If you keep spreading this lie may God break your leg... thankx... are you afraid?~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeputyBob (talkcontribs) 17:58, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unverifiable content

[edit]

I noticed you have deleted content from various suras. While the intention might have been good, you are supposed to add a "citation-needed tag" as an interim step before outright deletion if the material is easily verifiable. In some cases I can confirm it was easily verifiable. Please keep this in mind in the future. Thanks. Pass a Method talk 20:16, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unverifiable content, and sadly in sura pages crappy content, can be deleted on the spot. Another issue is that they are chapters of the Quran and not dump grounds for weird interpretations. Kiatdd (talk) 20:37, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation join the new Physiology Wikiproject!

[edit]
Physiology gives us an understanding of how and why things in the field of medicine happen. Together, let us jumpstart the project and get it going. Our energy is all it needs.

Based on the long felt gap for categorization and improvization of WP:MED articles relating to the field of physiology, the new WikiProject Physiology has been created. WikiProject Physiology is still in its infancy and needs your help. On behalf of a group of editors striving to improve the quality of physiology articles here on Wikipedia, I would like to invite you to come on board and participate in the betterment of physiology related articles. Help us to jumpstart this WikiProject.

  • Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the WikiProkect Physiology talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
  • You can tag the talk pages of relevant articles with {{WikiProject Physiology|class=|importance=}} with your assessment of the article class and importance alongwith. Please note that WP:Physiology, WP:Physio, WP:Phy can be used interchangeably.
  • You will make a big difference to the quality of information by adding reliable sources. Sourcing physiology articles is essential and makes a big difference to the quality of articles. And, while you're at it, why not use a book to source information, which can source multiple articles at once!
  • We try and use a standard way of arranging the content in each article. That layout is here. These headings let us have a standard way of presenting the information in anatomical articles, indicate what information may have been forgotten, and save angst when trying to decide how to organise an article. That said, this might not suit every article. If in doubt, be bold!
  • Why not try and strive to create a good article! Physiology related articles are often small in scope, have available sources, and only a limited amount of research available that is readily presentable!
  • Your contributions to the WikiProject page, related categories and templates is also welcome.
  • To invite other editors to this WikiProject, copy and past this template (with the signature):
  • To welcome editors of physiology articles, copy and past this template (with the signature):
  • You can feel free to contact us on the WikiProkect Physiology talk page if you have any problems, or wish to join us. You can also put your suggestions there and discuss the scope of participation.

Hoping for your cooperation! DiptanshuTalk 12:49, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
