You're very welcome, I'm honoured to meet someone who actually remembers the '60's in this kids playground :). I enjoyed reading the information that you have added to the article. Sorry for the delayed reply. the one and only time i saw Samouth sing was in the 1971 TVRK (television de la republique khmere) show, when i was a teenager. i don't think there is anyone who would have recorded that show (video recording technology has yet to be invented!) Other than that because my school was near the Ministry of Information, i now and then spotted him coming and going there for the studio recordings. My interest however in writing in Wiki is to set out the dates of his compositions/performances for historical purposes. Giving praise where this is due, but also helping trace the evolution of Samouth's musical style. The way the commercial CD/DVD producers have handled khmer music (and Samouth's legacy) so far is to bunch songs wholesale. No wonder our younger generation seems to think that the best of Samouth's songs are in the 70's. Worse, some of CD sellers actually add electronic drums which completely destroys the track. It's like trying to "improve" on Angkor Wat with modern extensions! i was also hoping to attract input from older fans who will be able to cross check/challenge what has been written, because i'm all too aware of my own biases. The elderly Khmer statesman i referred to in the article (whom i interviewed in Paris in 2008) was Secretary for the Cabinet in the 1970's. He however was not interested in music as i was, so could not be of much assistance. Later on, i'm hoping to add khmer script into the main article (once i have learned to do that).
