Could you please avoid blind reverting on this page, and comment on the revisions I made on the talk page? The version you are reverting to contains problematic material under the biographies of living persons guidelines, which are very important to consider when dealing with this type of article. Thank you. Tony Fox (arf!) 23:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I won't revert the article again at present, but I'd recommend that you read the BLP guidelines adn consider them in your "work." Also, you may want to consider WP:OWN. If the article's still a BLP issue later, I'll request other administrators to express their views. Tony Fox (arf!) 23:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies if you got the impression I was attempting to control the article in any way other than trying to enforce guidelines, which is part of the role of administrators. I see it's being edited in a far more neutral manner at present, which is all I was after. Thanks kindly. I blocked the IP that was being disruptive for 24 hours earlier; if there's further such disruption, I'm still watching, and will deal with it.
As an aside, when leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your message with four tildes. Thanks. Tony Fox (arf!) 01:44, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please use edit summaries

[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. ✬Dillard421✬ (talkcontribs) 07:31, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
