Thank you.
The article Kevin Zimmermann has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 04:31, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Kevin Zimmermann
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Kevin Zimmermann. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kevin Zimmermann. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Kevin Zimmermann
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kevin Zimmermann, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Repost of Kevin Brian Zimmermann Cuevas
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kevin Brian Zimmermann Cuevas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hang on}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Hey I dont get it why you delete this is 100% truth you keep deleting saying its false check it out by your own, how we can get in contact? !
- I'm sure it's all 100% true. Unfortunately, the article doesn't pass the guidelines for soccer player notability at WP:NSOCCER because the player has never played in a fully professional league (WP:FPL). The PDL, the CSL, and the German Oberliga are not fully professional leagues. JonBroxton (talk) 17:37, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Well I think there is a misunderstanding because in all the leagues there is two status amateur/professional I get paid and when you get paid is professional? anywyas in Mexico I played professional in 3rd 2nd div so how you debate I am not a professional player when I have gotten paid the whole time.
What would you suggest then?
- Perhaps you got paid, but not all the players in the league did - which means that the LEAGUE is not FULLY professional. I don't make the rules - these guidelines have been developed over years by people who work on the WP:FOOTY project so that we don't have hundreds of thousands of articles on soccer players who play in the Mexican third division or the German fifth division, which would be completely unmanagable. As soon as you play a competitive game for a team in one of the leagues listed at WP:FPL, you'll be eligible for an article - but not until then. JonBroxton (talk) 17:45, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
Alright then so what should just erase the profesional "word" and put semi-professional ? what are your suggestions I have a career its not fair I cant appear there because other people didnt get pay I have contracts etc.
- It's not a case of fair or not fair - we have to apply the same rules to everyone. I'm sure there are thousands of soccer players just like you, playing in the third and fourth and fifth divisions across the world, but we can't have articles on players at that level because there would be too many for us to handle. It's just a case of being consistent. Also, it's about the team you play for, not you personally. Like I said, as soon as you play a competitive game for a team in one of the leagues listed at WP:FPL, you'll be eligible for an article - but not until then. And if you keep cresating an article on yourself and trying to get round the deletions by adding your middle name to the title, it doesn't look good. Plus, you're also technically in violation of WP:COI, and you shouldn't be making an article on yourself anyway. If you're notable, someone else will make the article for you.
