Spam warning

[edit]

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --HarryCane 10:55, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, both interview links don't belong in the article. Please see What Wikipedia is not for detailed guidelines. --HarryCane 11:30, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Posting an interview link is far from spam, especially if it has been done recently and is newsworthy. When I think of spam, I think of someone trying to sell me an IPOD or ringtones.

Talk page blanking

[edit]

Please do not remove legitimate warnings from your talk page or replace them with offensive content. Removing or maliciously altering warnings from your talk page will not remove them from the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted legitimate comments. If you continue to remove or vandalize legitimate warnings from your talk page, you will lose your privilege of editing your talk page. Thanks. --HarryCane 11:30, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: "Get a life"

[edit]

I'm not monitoring anybody's activity. Please see WP:STALK on what is allowed and what is not (your "Get a life"-comment is most certainly not). But if I return to a talk page I have recently left a comment on and find it blanked, I revert it. That's Wikipedia policy, sorry. And about the interview links, please see WP:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided, especially §3, as you are not to post your links. If you continue violating WP policies, you are likely to be reported and blocked. --HarryCane 16:31, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
