NPOV/COI
[edit]Hiya. And a belated welcome. As you expand your contributions to Wikipedia, please consider taking a quick look at the guidelines on:
- WP:NPOV. Which confirms the neutral tone/language expected in articles. Turns of phrase like
"a book by a diverse group of journalists and practitioners [..which..] explores the creative adaptation and strategies employed [..] in response to transformative technological changes"
is perhaps better suited to that book's dust-jacket or marketing materials than a neutral encyclopedic entry. Similarly, something like"he leads a global team of digital verification journalists and OSINT investigations specialists"
is perhaps better suited to someone's LinkedIn profile than a neutral biography. In particular where such phrases do not appear to be directly supported by linked sources. - WP:COI. Which talks about how, where relevant, editors with a connection to a subject should consider declaring that connection. And should consider, with an eye on their own goals and those of this project, whether writing about connected topics is appropriate.
Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 15:59, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for this. Really appreciate the feedback. Kelvinflanagan (talk) 18:32, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
