ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:47, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of List of tissue-specific promoters

[edit]

Hello Kelu,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of tissue-specific promoters for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I did not list any people or company in List of tissue-specific promoters. Why did you think it's advertising or promotion? --Kelu (talk) 22:18, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Kelu,
If you have questions about an article deletion, please go ask the administrator who deleted the page (which is listed at the top of the deleted page) or the editor who tagged it (who is Klbrain). If you still have questions, try bringing them to the Teahouse where experienced editors can offer you advice and support. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:35, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any association with InvivoGen. --Kelu (talk) 16:15, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Kelu, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Thanks for your contributions to List of tissue-specific promoters. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and The key problems leading to the previous deletion remain; it is almost entirely unreferenced, and what you're listing are proteins, not promoters. Many of the linked proteins don't even discuss their associated promoters. So, please find reliable sources that support the claim that each of the promoters on the list is tissue-specific in the manner described. Also, make the distinction between proteins and promoters clear.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Klbrain (talk) 22:50, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Transatlantic Professional Go Team Championship has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No coverage in independent sources; fails WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
