User talk:Keith Grant
June 2018
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Alan Grant, from its old location at User:Keith Grant/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. » Shadowowl | talk 13:49, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Declare any connection
[edit]Hello, Keith Grant. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Alan Grant, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.
Disclosure on User:Keith Grant would be best. It need not be overly-specific. For a family relationship a recommended statement would say something like:
I have a conflict of interest with regard to Draft:Alan Grant because we are related. I am aware of the applicable policies and guidelines, and will abide by them. I submitted the draft through articles for creation in accordance with WP:COIEDIT. I understand that I do not own it and it may be edited mercilessly. If it is published, I will propose any changes via its talk page rather than editing it directly.
