Proposed deletion of Frédéric Dalsace
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Frédéric Dalsace, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Biography of a living person (WP:BLP) that does not explicate why it is notable (WP:NOTABILITY)
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ←Signed:→Mr. E. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to List of New York University alumni, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability and the content has been removed. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Wikipedia is never an acceptable source for itself. License tagging for File:Eelton.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Eelton.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:06, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Menachem Brenner
[edit]A tag has been placed on Menachem Brenner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. advice
[edit]It is not going to be deleted, but it needs some fixing. Give proper quotations in standard format for articles and book chapters, and separate the books from the journals. The reason for full bibliographic references is that it is otherwise impossible to tell if they are scholarly articles in peer reviewed journals and otherwise they do not count towards notability. Lectures at conferences do not count, and should not normally be even mentioned. Summarize the main consultant activities, and if at all possible give some third party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. I adjusted some of the other material to meet our standards and conventions. DGG (talk) 23:39, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
In general you ought to pay more attention to WP:PROF, and discussions on faculty based on it. It is usually impossible to show notability for an Assistant Professor unless they are extremely distinguished at an early stage in their career. I shall probably challenge many of these articles, and I doubt very much that they will stand-Associate Professors too are often challenged, though I will usually let someone else challenge them. They do not stand a good deal of the time-even for first rate schools like Stern. Adjunct faculty must usually rely for notability on their notability in their primary career, in this case according to WP:BIO. You c=can nd shouldlook out for people atthe school who have material written about them in newspapers and professional publications. that's what really helps the articles.
And there's some important points of style: We only use the title Professor or Doctor once, in the lede sentence of the article. Afterwards, we just use he or she with an occasional use of the last name alone at the start of major sections. We do not write in outline format, except for lists of publications, and sometimes, for lists of prizes. We certainly dont do this for a sequence of positions or consultancies. that's CV style, and violates WP:NOT. Editors in chief of journals are significant positions and establish notability. Membership on editorial boards sometimes helps, if the membership is selective. Being a reviewer is trivial and should not be included. Being a member of major professional societies is worth mentioning if the society is selective, but only offices of national level or higher are really significant enough for notability. Hobbies are not, unless there's some actual distinction in them. Incidentally, awards within the college are considered unimportant, except possibly for something of special distinction at the highest level. Ditto for undergraduate awards, and usually most graduate ones. It's better not to even mention them. If it doesn't make an impressive article without the student accomplishments, the person might not be notable. On the other hand, if they do have grants, and the amount of money is impressive, it can be included. Names of doctoral students who have later done enough to have Wikipedia articles are also appropriate content. It's good, though, to always include the names of all colleges and the high school, if known, because it adds to the notability of those institutions. Birth date and birthplace are considered essential, though you can just give the year if you think it preferable.
For articles and books, it's important to show how much they have been cited. If you don't know how to get this data, ask a librarian. It's critical usually, for showing they are an authority in the profession.
When you enter articles on all the faculty indiscriminately, people wonder about the degree to which this represents WP:Conflict of interest. Start at the top level, and wait there until they get accepted. And please do not submit photographs without explicit copyright licensing. Make sure you actually own the copyright when you do that, or have explicit permission from whoever does. See see our FAQ about organisations, which applies to articles like these. I am one of the most sympathetic Wikipedia administrators to people in the academic world, and i need to tell you that what you are doing is not appropriate. Hope this helps, but if you'd like more help ask here, or on my talk page, or email me from my talk page. DGG (talk) 00:05, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Possible conflict of interest
[edit]If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article TRIUM EMBA, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and

The article Master of Science in Risk Management Program for Executives has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Promo for an executive education program that fails WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AleatoryPonderings (talk) 20:33, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
