Tomato

Hi Kay (if I can call you that), and welcome to Wikipedia! I remember reading your bit about the topsy turvy tomato planter. Someone deleted it because it sounded a bit like you were trying to advertise them, but you can still see the old text here. To go in a Wikipedia article, things have to be famous enough that books or newspapers are writing about them (have a look at the guidelines on notability). No worries :-). I'm not really a tomato expert! I just found that the article needed a bit of tidying up one day, so I did it, and now I keep an eye on it (there's a little star near the top right on every page: if you click it, you can add the page to your watchlist). Oh, and another tip: if you want to sign your name, just put ~~~~. When you click save, it automatically turns into your username and the time. Poetry

I removed your poem from the Index of poem articles talk page. Wikipedia is not the place to publish your poetry. for one, unless your poetry is highly notable, it should not be in an article or the talk page for an article. secondly, anything you post on WP is given up to the world with a CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and GFDL, essentially giving up ownership of your writing. if you plan to publish professionally, giving up your copyright is a bad idea. You could help improve this article by finding poems that have their own articles, but are not listed there. If you have read much poetry, you can just look up your favorites and make sure they are there. If you REALLY dont want your poem listed even in the talk page history, you can contact an administrator and request the edit be permanently removed. by the way, it is a charming poem. and if you want to know how to write better poems, here it is: read as much poetry as you can get your hands on, from a wide a selection as possible, and write as much poetry as you can, in any and all forms imaginable. you will discover your inspiration that way, and get better at it.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 17:59, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
