I have been attempting to learn how to enter information here on Wikipedia, I attempted to use somebody who I thought would be have lots of information available that I could get more information on if needed on the Dennis Lewin page. I know that this person was extremely popular and is now on high volume radio stations. I pulled the information together for the Biography and the Band page from researching the internet and sourcing all of the articles out there. Apparently I did not do something totally right since it is marked for deletion, or the bio page screen that is showing up. This is my first attempt. I am not sure what to do with it at this point. Any input is appreciated.
Not even sure if I did this part right https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Kavito1225&action=edit§ion=1#
- Hi Kavito, though you did provide a lot of references, the main complaint according to the Article For Deletion nominatino seems to be that the subject's notability has not been established in the eyes of the editor who nominated it for deletion. Sometimes this happens when the contributing editor (you) forgets to mention "Lewin won six Grammies and is was cited as being Ice Cube's biggest influence, according to Cube's autobiography." (Fabricated examples.) The general notability guideline states that generally speaking, article subjects must receive significant coverage from reliable sources that are independent of the subject. There are more specific criteria at Wikipedia:Notability (people) or perhaps more suitable for your subject: Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles. Now, if the subject doesn't meet any of the criteria at musicians and ensembles, if he's also known for his work in radio, figure out what those criteria are, dig up that independent coverage (not press releases, not bios, but actual articles ABOUT him) and include that, and explain his significance. Hope that helps. I'm going to leave your help request open in case another editor wishes to contribute their thoughts. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:14, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Kavito1225: I thought at first that you were the person that nominated Dennis Lewin's page for deletion but in reading further I'm thinking that you are the person that originated his page? If so, maybe we can get our heads together to try and save his page. And if you are the originator you've done a good job and I don't understand why it should be up for deletion. Mmcard59 (talk) 05:54, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Mmcard59 Yes I did originate the Dennis Lewin Page. All of the information that is posted has been gathered from the internet from all of the published sources that I found. What I understand from the suggested deletion page is that they want more validated information. I saw that many of the groups that Dennis has been involved with have pages so I thought it would make sense for the information on his contributions since he was a huge part in these bands. I know that he has also played on sound tracts for other famous artists but those are not mentioned in print anywhere that I could find so I could not substantiate and add the information. More information on Dennis's talk shows and anything and everything that has ever been in print. I think all of the rock in roll hall of fame shows and any and all participation Dennis has had in helping to make music in the Cleveland area including the wmms appearances and the concerts listed. It is supposed to be true statements not 3rd party and be able to be backed with something in print. I realize that many of the appearances were before the internet so PR releases were done on paper via mail and many articles may be in archives in print on paper, so maybe those can be scanned and posted? Photos may help, photos of the band with the rock groups he has pro formed with and published music he has written showing the lyrics published may be another. From the input I received it needs to be shown he is well know person in the Cleveland area and now internationally with his talk shows. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Kavito1225&action=edit§ion=2#
Great! Please call me Marti.... Ok, I will be gathering more pictures and info from Dennis in the coming days to help support his notability. He has emailed authorization for the use of the picture you uploaded and the current one I uploaded. I think if we put more emphasis on his career as a radio personality and performer instead of a member of Beau Coup Wikipedia may see how extraordinarily talented he really is over and above his achievements in the 80's. Btw, you worked really hard on this for Dennis and I think we can satisfy Wikipedia's requirements to keep his page from being deleted. Mmcard59 (talk) 16:46, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi, I've been gathering info to put on Dennis' page and have also been in contact with a few wiki editors in an effort to save Dennis' page from being deleted. I need to do some restructuring of his current page but since you are the original creator I feel compelled to get your blessing on that. You did such a fantastic job on it and I don't want to discredit you in any way. If you would prefer to communicate with me privately I'd appreciate that. My email addy is marticarder@hotmail.com .... Thanks! Mmcard59 (talk) 17:34, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
