Adoption?
[edit]Hi there. I'm not sure what I've got to do, but I'd be happy to help out if I can. Please drop me a note on my talk page TimVickers 05:59, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Adoption Request
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! And cool to see a Canadian too - I was over there back in 2004 and loved the place (I'm from Perth, Australia).
I see you have requested adoption and I am seeking to adopt. Please take a look at my userpage and see if I am a good fit to be your mentor. If you agree to be adopted by me, then let me know on my talk page by clicking the "+" symbol at the top of the page and letting me know. If not, I would still be glad to answer any questions you have at any time. Orderinchaos78 16:54, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- No worries :) Any particular issues or questions you want to get started with? Orderinchaos78 19:08, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- I will get back to you if I find a better answer, but as far as I can see all you'd need to do, instead of putting {{userboxbottom}} at the end of each section, you could use the table row command (bar-dash) as follows:
{{Userboxtop|Heading 1|right}} {{User box1}} {{User box2}} {{User box3}} |- ! <div style="font-size: 120%">Next Heading</div> |- | {{User box1}} {{User box2}} (etc etc) {{Userboxbottom}}
- Hope this helps - I'll have a look later for a really good page I saw a while ago which had done exactly this, but may have used a template to do it, making it a bit cleaner) Using an exclamation point instead of the usual bar to start a new field on a table makes it a header (bold and centred) Orderinchaos78 19:35, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Note: first version contained an error. Fixed now. See User:Orderinchaos/Sandbox for implementation Orderinchaos78 19:40, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Survey
[edit]Hi Elisabeth!
I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!
It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!
Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!
Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!
