HMS E5
[edit]I reverted most of your changes to the article HMS E5 because (1) Day Month Year date format is correct for a UK military subject per the manual of style or (2) they changed the meaning: Changing "Group 1 boats were..." to "Group one boat was..." is incorrect because it refers to the eight submarines of "Group 1", not one submarine.Nigel Ish (talk) 18:44, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
Date variants
[edit]Hi Katycombs, just to let you know that I've reverted a few of your recent edits as they go against standard practice for WP articles. You can usually see which date format should be used at the top of the article (when in edit mode). There should be a tag saying either {{Use dmy dates}}
, in which case we would use the format "12 December 2017", or {{Use mdy dates}}
, where it should be "December 12, 2017". Please also have a look at WP:SPELL09 as this gives guidance about only spelling out numbers when they are under 10. Thanks, Nzd (talk) 18:49, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
- You have continued to change articles in this manor despite being asked not to. If you continue to change articles against the WP:MoS, you could end up being blocked. Please stop. Nzd (talk) 19:08, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
