Robert Kubica
[edit]Robert Kubica (IPA: ['Robert Ku'bee'tsa],
It is NOT Kub"I"tsa [Kub'ay'tsa" as ""is prononced "ay" it is "Ku'bee'tsa" ("bee" like the "yellow jacket").— Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.190.79.130 (talk • contribs)
But Ku'bee'tsa is not IPA.... Wikipedia prefers IPA that's why I changed it... However, you're allowed to include forms like yours ALONGSIDE IPA so that's what I'll do. Kasnie (talk) 23:37, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
The fact that "Kuba" is a diminuative form of Jacob needs to be included in the article to which you are linking. As a disambiguation page, Kuba should not present any original content, but should only link to articles which contain content about "Kuba". I will leave the link for now, but it won't remain here indefinitely unless Jacob (name) is edited to include a reference to "Kuba". Please let me know if you have questions about how to do this. Speedy deletion of Kasia Wilk
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kasia Wilk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ravenswing 19:44, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Kasia Wilk
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Kasia Wilk, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion tags
[edit]I've added speedy deletion tags to the following articles. They have already been deleted for not meeting notability guidelines on Polish Wikipedia and should likewise be deleted from English Wikipedia.
Nina Cieślińska, Magdalena Diaków, Dominika Kasprzycka, Piotr Lato, Dominika Pawłowska, Karolina Szarubka, Sławomir Uniatowski.
Kasnie (talk) 20:05, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
- I've sent Sławomir Uniatowski, Piotr Lato, and Dominika Kasprzycka to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion because they assert marginal notability. If you would like to participate in these deletion discussions, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sławomir Uniatowski, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Piotr Lato, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dominika Kasprzycka. Thanks, Cunard (talk) 22:16, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
guttural r in polish
[edit]You deleted my claim that guttural R occurs in some regions of Poland. I've changed it back. To some extend, you're right in having deleted it, because I don't have any quotes. But the section does indeed say that the guttural R is rare and I think it's responsible to keep it, especially regarding that there is little literature about Polish dialects.
Guttural R does exist as an alternative in at least one Polish dialect: Silesian (Wasserpolnisch). My grandfather (†) who was born in Chorzów spoke it. Today, this use may have decreased a lot (that's why the section I wrote is quite careful), but it exists. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.52.175.228 (talk) 11:18, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
I have never heard anyone in Poland using a guttural R pronunciation even Silesians, but I suppose if it's made clear (which you've done) that it is very rare then there's no harm mentioning it. Ideally though, citations should be found to clarify the extent of this usage.Kasnie (talk) 14:33, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Paweł Wojciechowski (born 1960), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Paweł Wojciechowski. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 00:29, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Maciej Wilusz
[edit]I have nominated Maciej Wilusz, an article that you created, for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Kasnie! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 22 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 87 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

The article Jarosław Mikutel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article about footballer who hasn't played in a fully-pro league and which fails the general notability guideline.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Piotr Ruszkul has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Skipple ☎ 20:37, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
