Re: Muslim Brotherhood
[edit]Hello, and thanks for your comments. It's always good to see other concerned Wikipedians trying to improve articles. Regarding this reference in the MB article, it states:
American commentators have called the Muslim Brothers radical Islamists and a vital component of the enemys assault force ... deeply hostile to the United States.
The Brotherhood is generally considered the grandfather of modern day Islamist terrorism. Given the volume of references regarding their ties to violence, I don't think it is too far fetched to link the article to Radical muslim groups. MezzoMezzo (talk) 05:51, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please review the official Wikipedia:Civility and Wikipedia:No personal attacks policies. Your last comments to me were violations of both.
- You don't know me and have no basis for accusing me of inserting my own personal point of view. The article clearly states the fact regarding commentators considering the MB to be a radical group, and this is the majority view as evidenced by the rest of the article's sources. If you would like to reword it then that is fine, but the information is properly sourced and thus you should not remove it.
- Simply reverting my edit after insulting me personally is looking like the beginning of Wikipedia:Edit war and Wikipedia:Disruptive editing violations. Please discuss this issue in a civil manner on the article's talk page. If you think that simply reverting over editing disputes is going to get your version of the article through, then this is incorrect. Please review the official Wikipedia:Consensus and Wikipedia:Ownership of articles policies - you have to work along with other editors, not fight them. MezzoMezzo (talk) 06:05, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Accusing others of simply inserting their POV into an article constitutes a personal attack, especially when you don't have any proof that they are doing so. This is not how editing works on Wikipedia; just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't mean they're being biased or unfair. As for the Muslim Brotherhood, the consensus version has long been that they are a radical group. If you would like to remove that now, then the Burden of proof lies on you to make your case on the article's talk page. MezzoMezzo (talk) 13:50, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- If you find that acceptable then I agree to that. Just take it to the talk page and post up whichever version you feel is the most neutral and it shouldn't be a problem. MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:42, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Muslim Brotherhood. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. MezzoMezzo (talk) 06:07, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Re:Hizb ut Tahrir
[edit]Walaykum as Salaam. I scoured the talk page and could not find the section where the terrorism issue was resolved. Could you please point me to it? MezzoMezzo (talk) 04:38, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
- I understand. In that case, I retract my earlier edit. MezzoMezzo (talk) 15:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
