Orphaned non-free media (Image:Cc-serge.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Cc-serge.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Featured List of the Day Experiment
There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:51, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
Dragon Ball characters
I am reverting your changes your edits to several Dragon Ball characters. Seems you're taking the box captions too literal; it refers to original character art, not to the anime company. The Bleach and Naruto articles do the same formatting: "{PAGENAME} by {manga artist}" so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove. I suggest you cut it out before you get a 3rr warning. Discussion exists for cases like these. Please reply on your talk page. Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 09:18, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not familiar with Bleach and Naruto so I won't comment on them. As for Dragon Ball, putting "(Character) by Akira Toriyama" on a screenshot that shows the anime drawn by Toei Animation is either erroneous or too ambiguous. It's correct if the reader think "(Character) as they appear in the anime; the original character was created by Akira Toriyama", but that's quite long. People unfamiliar with the topic would probably think "(Character) drawn by Akira Toriyama" instead, and that's erroneous.
- That would be like showing a screenshot of Elijah Wood in the Lord of the Rings movie and writing "Frodo Baggins by J.R.R. Tolkien" under it. Kariteh (talk) 08:25, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- You're the only person I know of who thinks like that. I deal with character captions on a semi-regular basis and pretty much everyone knows what I mean. We could maybe be a little more specific, say "{PAGENAME}, original character artwork by {manga artist}" or something like that. The Pokémon articles did something similar. Any other suggestions? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 18:44, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- The creator is already stated in the article's lead, so my suggestion would be to say "{PAGENAME} as he/she appear in the manga/anime". This would be less ambiguous and more informative. Sometimes the anime is drawn very differently than the manga (usually it's worse); it's not useless to tell people when we're showing a screenshot of the anime and when we're showing the manga. Kariteh (talk) 08:26, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see. Well, a caption like "{PAGENAME} as he/she appear in the manga/anime by {anime company}" sounds a bit more precise, wouldn't you say? Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 19:43, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, sounds good. Kariteh (talk) 10:58, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll get to work on that as soon as I have time left over then. Never fear, Lord Sesshomaru (talk • edits) 17:41, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

my youtube reviews
so I don't get it. Why did you delete all of my reviews for cell phones. It shows the user interface which people want to see.

Looking for new admins
Hi. I was looking for people who might make good administrators and your name came up. I see you are less active than you have been and I also see a lot of fair use image uploads that were later orphaned and deleted. Otherwise, you appear to be a pretty good candidate. Any interest? Anything else I am missing? —Wknight94 (talk) 16:48, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Is going back up for FAC, so stop in if you can and watch, I hope to fix as we go, but it shouldn't be too hard as you got it almost all the way there already. Perhaps sometime we could build a Mana Featured Topic! Judgesurreal777 (talk) 21:23, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Ffxformerlogo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Ffxformerlogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 09:17, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Characters of Final Fantasy III
An editor has nominated Characters of Final Fantasy III, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Characters of Final Fantasy III and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:59, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
