Welcome!

Hello, Karenwilliams17, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sir Maejor (model), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://albinomodel.blogspot.com/2013/05/albino-model-actor-sir-maejor-full-wiki.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 06:03, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Sir Maejor (model) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Sir Maejor (model) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sir Maejor (model) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Gtwfan52 (talk) 06:11, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It isn't deleted (yet). There is a discussion which will run for a week from the time of nomination about deleting it here, You should join that discussion, but remember, your arguments have to be based in Wikipedia policy before they will be considered. On the copyright issue, It does not matter if you have permission to use the information from that website. Wikipedia must have proof that it is being released for use here under either of the two licenses mentioned at the bottom of the editing screen. I am not sure how you go about doing that, but I do know it involves someone from the website emailing someone at Wikipedia. That would be a very good question to ask at the Teahouse, a Q&A forum for new users. I will leave you a link to that.

Beyond the problem with copyright, the article does not show notability (WP:N, especially WP:ACTOR). Not everyone gets an article on Wikipedia. Please read those links, along with the policy on reliable sources (WP:RS). In short, unless a reliable source is writing about a subject, that subject cannot have an article on Wikipedia. In addition, you have attributed a source to the Huffington Post, when in reality, it comes from a Tumbler account. That kind of thing will not help get your article published. Articles on Wikipedia must be verifiable (WP:V). Please read over the links I have provided and the links below, then work on your article and post your arguments at the deletion discussion. If you have any questions, please follow the link to the Teahouse posted below. Gtwfan52 (talk) 19:41, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is being posted on your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss issues and respond to questions. At the end of each message you will see a signature left by the editor posting. This is done by signing with four ~~~~ or by pressing or in the editing interface tool box, located just above the editing window (when editing). Do not sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted, but only when using the article talkpage, yours or another editor's talkpage. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information.
