A tag has been placed on André Éric Létourneau, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Doctormatt 18:46, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
More on André Éric Létourneau
[edit]Thank you for your explanation on the talk page for André Éric Létourneau. I would like to suggest that you not recommend to artists that they put articles about themselves on Wikipedia, as this constitutes a conflict of interest (see WP:COI for information about this). Also, please do not remove other users comments from talk pages as you did at Talk:André Éric Létourneau. You should simply add comments below the comments that are already there. Finally, please remember to sign you comments with four tildes (~~~~). Thank you, and again, welcome to Wikipedia. Doctormatt 00:55, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Further, I removed your request that the article not be deleted as the speedy deletion request tag was already removed, so there is no immediate danger of the article being deleted. As soon as possible, could you please make it clear what all of those books and articles are doing in the article? That is, please add specific citations to the claims in the article. I have added "citation needed" tags to statements that I think it would be particularly helpful to have a specific reference. Please see WP:CITE for information on how to cite articles on Wikipedia. Cheers, Doctormatt 01:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Edit summaries
[edit]When making edits, please remember to use edit summaries. This will help other editors understand what you have done, and is considered a courtesy to the Wikipedia community. Thanks. Doctormatt 01:50, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
La Navire Night
[edit]When you cite the reference "Prévost, Hélène, Le Navire Night, CBC radio, 1999" do you mean this interview: http://www.radio-canada.ca/radio/navire/rencontres_deromeentr.html ? This interview makes no mention of the name Benjamin Muon, so this interview would not be a valid reference for the claim that Benjamin Muon is a pseudonym for Letourneau. Can you explain? Also, for references in general, I think footnotes are better, as it make the text easier to read. I will change your references to footnotes if you don't object. Cheers, Doctormatt 02:05, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Is it possible to find some more sources of information on this topic Mineminemine? It is tagged with a notability tag, and there are currently 31 articles in the scope of wikiproject Canada which are tagged with notability concerns, so I am contacting all the article creation editors to see if the quantity of notable articles can be reduced, and quality increased. For more help see this note. Kind Regards SriMesh | talk 18:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Karen kantor! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Mineminemine - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
