Hi Karen,

Welcome to Wikipedia.

A photograph would be most useful and any other biographical information you might have. He seems to have been almost forgotten, which is why I started the article.

Uploading photographs can be a bit daunting the first time. So I will walk you through it:

Although you might own the physical photograph itself, the copyright to it may be shared by not only you but all of Will's other living descendants, so it might be safer to upload it as 'fair use.'

If you open up this link in a new tab it will show the right upload page for this.

[1]

Then: click the 'browse' button to browse to where you have the photograph stored on your computer and thus complete the Source filename field.

Then: Enter the name you would like the photograph so be known as (eg. WillBarker.jpeg). Important. Use the same letters in the same upper or lower case for the image file type as the original file appears on your computer. Ie .jpeg or .JPG etc.

Then: Delete all this text below, as it appears in the Summary window on the upload page (It will appear more nicely spaced out than this).

{{Non-free use rationale |Article = |Description = |Source = |Portion = |Low_resolution = |Purpose = |Replaceability = |other_information = }}

Then cut & past everything 'between' the stars below (but NOT including the stars) into that now empty box. I have entered all the things that need to be entered for you.

*************************************************************************************** {{Non-free use rationale |Article = Will Barker |Description = '''William George Barker''' (18 January 1868 – 6 November 1951) Film producer, Director, Cinematographer and Entrepreneur. |Source = living relative |Portion = Entire |Low_resolution = Yes |Purpose = It is only being used to illustrate the article in question |Replaceability = As the subject is deceased, no free equivalent could reasonably be obtained or created to replace this media |other_information = *The use of this image on Wikipedia is contended to be a fair use, since it is used solely for educational purposes in a not-for-profit encyclopedia, is necessary for cultural and historical purposes, and the material value of the possible copyright is not believed to be lessened by its use here *It is believed that the use of this image on the English-language Wikipedia to illustrate an article on the person in question falls under the "Non-profit educational" clause of the Fair Use doctrine currently upheld by United States law. ([http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sec_17_00000107----000-.html 17 U.S.C. § 107]) *It is a low resolution copy *It is only being used to illustrate the article in question *The image is irreplaceable; a free analogue is impossible to produce as the original will be covered by copyright for the foreseeable future *Owing to the limited web-resolution of the image, only a small portion of a copyrighted work is used *It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the image in any way *For the same reasons, the portion of the copyrighted work used is of inherently lower quality than the original, reducing the risk of competitiveness and therefore the effects of this copy on the market for or value of versions held by the owner of the copyright }} {{Non-free historic image}} [[Category:English film directors]] ************************************************************************

Finally: click on the Upload file button which appears at the very bottom on the left. If it is a large file it might take a few minutes to upload.

Then, if you let me know when you have done it, and what the file name is, I will check it and correct any errors. Then place it in the article for you. --Aspro (talk) 15:18, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
