Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Kamren Johnson, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Category removals
[edit]Hi, just wanted to let you know that I performed a minor edit to your user page, because it was showing up as a member of all of the categories of which the original article was a member. The categories are all still on the page, but I added a colon in front of the word "category" (all of those lines at the bottom of the page), which preserves the links but removes the page from the category listing. (I found your page while looking at the category list for invasive plants.)
You might also consider moving your user page (or duplicating it) into your sandbox page, because right now it looks like an article. Add {{userspace draft}} to the top of your user page (or your sandbox page) to identify it. There are many, many Wikipedia policies and guidelines (way too many to know off the bat), but having a user page that looks like an article runs afoul of the guidelines on user pages; see Wikipedia:User pages that look like project pages for the specifics.
I don't want to scare you away from Wikipedia. I'm just trying to fix issues which have sometimes been problems in the past and to let you know what I did and why. Horologium (talk) 23:58, 20 April 2018 (UTC)
