This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tim DuBois, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.lyricsforlifeseminar.com/featured.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 16:41, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of "Bob Maddux"
[edit]A tag has been placed on "Bob Maddux" requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Unplug the Signal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:N and is a promotional article about an otherwise non-notable web promotion.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Copyright problems with Bill Couzens
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, Bill Couzens, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://billcouzens.wordpress.com/author/billcouzens/. As a copyright violation, Bill Couzens appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Bill Couzens has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Bill Couzens and send an email with the message to permissions-enwikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Bill Couzens with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Bill Couzens.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Cind.amuse (Cindy) 07:37, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
I've declined the A7 speedy deletion of the Bill Couzens article due to an indication of importance and/or significance (which is separate from notability). I've also declined in accordance with the G4 criteria, which is only applicable for articles that were previously deleted as a result of community discussion, i.e., AFD. That said, the article is a copyright violation of http://billcouzens.wordpress.com/author/billcouzens/, so the article qualifies under the G12 criteria for deletion. While several statements were made in the article to indicate possible notability of the subject, these claims lack significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Please note that we cannot accept press releases as sources. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Best regards, Cind.amuse (Cindy) 07:37, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Status and Advice
[edit]As reviewing administrator, I feleted the article for three reasons: first, it showed every sign of being copied from a pre-existed website or other publication. Second, it was entirely protional of heis endeavors. Third, it gave no real indication of encyclopedic notability. Any one of the three would have been sufficient.
A Wikipedia article needs to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. It also needs to be written like an encyclopedia article, not a press release--don't praise the person, say what they do. Don't talk about the overall importance of the subject--talk about what they have accomplished. Remember not to copy from a web site -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable.

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Many of the articles you have been editing are excessively promotional , including unsourced statements of praise, multiple links to other more notable musicians, excessive discussion of the subjects minor business endeavors, and copyvios from their web pge This is not acceptable editing; for all I can tell , you appear to be acting as a paid press agent. This is not absolutely prohibited, but you can expect the edits to be looked on with special care and considerable skepticism. If it affects the editing, you will surely be blocked. This has continued too long altogether and the pattern is unmistakable. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia , and cannot be used for promotion--even the promotion of notable artists. Speedy deletion nomination of Jeffrey Teague (musician)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Jeffrey Teague (musician), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of https://artandrep.com/whoweare/. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
