Is there a reason why an article was created for a season that's yet to premiere, before seasons that have already concluded? -- AlexTW 10:33, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Also pinging PanagiotisZois as the article creator. -- AlexTW 10:33, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Possibly because the season just entered production (like how people obey WP:NFF when films begin shooting), and no-one has been committed to developing articles for the last three seasons. Only I have just begun developing season 2's draft, which is still a long way to go. But the season 4 draft had all the information I could find. Is there a policy which states seasons shouldn't have articles until they begin airing? --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:39, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I agree. If film articles can be moved to mainspace when production starts, I don't see why the same can't happen with films. Besides, no Wikipedia rule states the fourth season of a TV show can't have its own articles unless the previous three do so. Now as to why articles for the first three seasons don't exist; I guess it's because nobody was itnerested. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 10:46, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) I also don't see a problem with moving it to the mainspace since filming has begun. Although, I would have personally waited until SDCC (which is what I think we should do for Draft:The Flash (season 5)). - Brojam (talk) 14:06, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

I did. At first, I felt "netted" was a bit informal (in my honest opinion even if the reference mentions it). What do you think? Should it be "netted" or "earned"? I'm fine either way. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 15:13, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
- Perhaps there is a difference between "netted" and "grossed", as well as "earned". Net profit may have the answer. --Kailash29792 (talk) 15:21, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Felicity, Barry and more
Would it not be a best time for Felicity, Barry, Stein, Mick, Laurel or Roy to have their own articles?23:56, 16 July 2018 (UTC)~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.187.7 (talk)
- Not really, because they are based on existing DC characters (unlike Diggle, Thea, Wells, Sara, and Alex who were created for their respective shows). Kailash29792 (talk) 01:43, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
Sanon
Do you think I did the right thing? I plan to do more research on the organization Dear Abby talked about yesterday.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:32, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Legends of Tomorrow (season 1).jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Legends of Tomorrow (season 1).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Brojam (talk) 16:03, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- Brojam, I feel season 2 can enter the mainspace, just it needs additional reviews about the whole season (not individual episodes) while season 3 will need the guest characters section to be complete. Can you please see if any character was missed out in season 3? --Kailash29792 (talk) 16:58, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and moved both season 2 and 3 to mainspace since any further changes are minimal and can be done there. Just a note, I hadn't realized when I moved the season 1 page, but the production and reception section are pretty much copy and pasted from the main article. Might want to modify/add to those sections. Great work on all these pages!! - Brojam (talk) 02:48, 26 July 2018 (UTC)

From/from
Hi, figured I'd let you know one of your edits on the From/from-Talk (Spider-Man: Far From Home) has been moved from one place to another. Because I found that it made your edit appear to become a case for supporting the move, I adjusted the edit (as you made a case for opposing the move in an earlier stage of the discussion). Anyway, have a look and please alter anything I might have done presumptuously. Cheers. SassyCollins (talk) 17:12, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:09, 8 August 2018 (UTC)

Chandralekha
Hi, While looking through featured article for Indian films I came across Chandralekha. Nice write-up you have done for the article. Do you know if the film is available with English subtitles, I am unable to find it anywhere to buy. Thanks. Gotitbro (talk) 15:47, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- I really wish it were. There are many sources stating the film was released for international audiences with subtitles, but I can't find any subtitled version on the web. There are two versions of the film - Tamil (original) and Hindi (shorter). I'm certain there is a subtitled Hindi version offline, but I really wish YouTubers added English subtitles to the movies they upload via this. --Kailash29792 (talk) 16:08, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Kailash29792: That is unfortunate. From what I can find there does not seem to be a subtitled DVD/VCD of the movie and looks like it was only screened in theaters with subtitles. The movie was released in DVD/VCD formats without subtitles:
- Tamil: https://www.worldcat.org/title/cantiraleka-chandraleka/oclc/965871668/editions?editionsView=true&referer=br (DVD)
- Hindi: https://www.induna.com/1000016482-productdetails/ (DVD)
- It was even screened with subtitles in a theater as recently as 2014:
- Sad that it didn't get a home video release with subtitles. For a YouTuber to add subtitles for Chandralekha they'd have to manually translate and add subtitles. Another way to add subtitle files to a YouTube video is via this extension in Chrome - Substital. I am planning to watch Andha Naal on YouTube, another featured article by you, through this extension (its subtitles are available online; it was released as DVD with subtitles) they aren't in sync with the video but I guess that's best I can expect. Really wish old films would get better treatment on home video. Gotitbro (talk) 17:23, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- If you plan on downloading the video and the .SRT (subtitles) file separately, it is possible to sync them via VLC. Although Moserbaer sold DVDs with subtitles, they're out of the home video business now; I'm unsure if they are still preserving their remaining CDs. --Kailash29792 (talk) 17:46, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the VLC suggestion, turns out you can sync via the extension as well; looks like I'll be finally able to enjoy watching an old Indian classic. (Andha Naal seems to have been released on DVD only by "AP International" with subs; Moserbaer does not seem to have released a DVD for it.) Are Kalidas (film) and Keechaka Vadham not available anywhere?
I have been watching all Indian films which have featured articles as it is an interesting way to find movies and read about them, really appreciate yours and the efforts of other contributors for bringing some unknown gems to the limelight. Gotitbro (talk) 18:47, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

Deleting Varma movie casting
Hi, why are you deleting Varma movie casting? Rraj6 (talk) 05:08, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- Rraj6, I am NOT deleting the casting. I'm only deleting the actor "Rraj" because there is no source that he is in the film at all. I cannot even find his name in Google search. --Kailash29792 (talk) 05:11, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm Rraj and I'm acting in this movie. This is my first movie and so there's no page about me in Google. My full name is Rraj Singha, u can check me out in FB or Insta, u add me in FB or Insta. Pls don't unnecessarily create trouble when you are not connected or know anything about this movie . Rraj6 (talk) 05:24, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Who the hell are you? Call up director Bala sirs office and confirm. Stop doing this nonsense. Rraj6 (talk) 12:04, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- I ask you the same question: who are you? I cannot find anyone "Rraj" on FB. I'm one who obeys Wiki policies, and one of them is WP:Verifiability: avoid adding statements without sources. But while I accept that you are in the film, I did not see any news article saying you are in the film (unlike Dhruv and Raiza). Kailash29792 (talk) 12:22, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
Search for Rraj Singha on FB, call Bala office. Who am I? Come n meet me in person , I'll tell you, does wiki policy tell you that life revolves around Google? Step outside and live a real life mate. In real life I've acted and your just a shit hole making others life difficult. Ass . Rraj6 (talk) 16:45, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Irudhi suttru.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:19, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Posters
Why are you uploading Hindi film posters with titles in Devnagri script, here and here, among others? Having been raised in Mumbai when these films were in theatrical release, neither of these posters were used in hoardings and advertisements. --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 09:37, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
- Krimuk2.0, are there any English alternatives for these two posters that do not have watermarks? If so, please upload them (overwrite, don't separately upload). If you can't erase the watermark, just add
{{watermark}}
and wait for me to de-watermark. But my choice of adding Devnagri script posters has mostly been due to the watermarks on them being easier to remove. --Kailash29792 (talk) 09:45, 10 September 2018 (UTC)- Alright, I'll find those and upload them myself. Cheers! --Krimuk2.0 (talk) 09:46, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
- Krimuk2.0, was this the poster of KNPH you meant to upload? I doubt the current one's credibility since it lacks the director and composer's names (they must have been removed via Paint). Besides, there are quite a few English posters of Saathiya (albeit watermarked) at Osianama, the ultimate Bollywood poster database. --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:29, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Supergirl episodes
Just an FYI, you're probably not going to have much luck deleting those pages. Not showing notability for TV episode articles has rarely resulted in them being deleted. What I would do, is actually start a merge discussion on each of them (point them to a general talk page like Arrowverse or the Supergirl page) and you'll likely get a better result. Instead, those AfDs will just spark a general "don't delete" debate which won't actually say they should still be there, but will ultimately be a waste of time that results in no change. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 13:02, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
- I'm one who plays by the book. That's why I tagged each page for deletion to gain a consensus (even if they end with a consensus to redirect that's great), even though I could easily have redirected them all without gaining a consensus, which I chose not to do. --Kailash29792 (talk) 14:11, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
- I understand. I'm speaking more from experience that those AfDs almost never gain consensus for deletion, and rarely gain one for merging because people are so hung up on just having episode articles. There may also be push-back because of the mass nomination of deletions. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 20:18, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Do you have any idea what's going on with the image in this infobox? We have a constant stream of driveby edits (you reverted one yourself) changing it to one thing or another, and I have no idea what their angle is.
I suppose we might just have to have an RFC on it but first I was wondering if you have some understanding of what's going on. Pinkbeast (talk) 20:09, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
- I feel we should keep the image that was accepted during the FLC. Kailash29792 (talk) 02:06, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
- I think that is reasonable. Sugggest you propose that at the talk page, I'll agree (absent a better argument for another one), and with any luck we can fix on that. Pinkbeast (talk) 10:18, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

He was a music director at Gemini. There is no article on him. Please see this whether you can write one https://www.thehindu.com/features/friday-review/paruru-house/article6768045.ece --UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 13:29, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Sathi Leelavathi
Looks like its almost ready for GA. Can you do me a favour? I plan to participate in next year's WikiCup, which starts on 1 January 2019. Can you nominate your article for GA then so that I can review it? I'll give it a good review, no holds barred mind you. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 09:56, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
- Alright, just don't let your personal feelings get in the way. And do avoid being too biased. I thought of submitting it to GOCE and adding more content, but now I'll do that before FAC. --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:02, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

- Okay, I've nominated it. When shall we begin? And will you also suggest changes after reading the sources? --Kailash29792 (talk) 10:47, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

The cast are listed in their odd-yet-proper order based on the premiere credits. However, several confirmed main cast members did not appear and/or did not receive star-billing yet (Ryan, Ford, Richardson-Sellers, Young). I’ll be monitoring to see where these other member of the cast fit in the list and adjust accordingly. Thank you! Dhalh (talk) 16:30, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
RT and older horror franchises
I removed the RT and Metacritic stuff from Halloween's franchise page. First reason is that most of those films don't have enough reviews in RT (or MC) for their scores to be statistically significant. As an example, I randomly picked Halloween 5, because it was released in 1989. It only has 23 reviews. When comparing that to say, the Halloween remake in 2007, which had 113 reviews, it's not a fair comparison to say that one was more well received than the other. Additionally, if you look at say H5's reviews on RT, they start in 2000 and move forward. There are none from 1989 there. So it isn't even an accurate representation of the critical response to that film from that time. That's what makes it hard to use RT scores for franchises that have spanned multiple decades, well before RT existed (which RT doesn't typically go scout original reviews for). It's misleading to readers to have these scores compared as if H5's 13% rotten score is on part with a 2007 remake's 23% score. It's not comparable. What should happen is that we should be looking for reviews of the franchise (not specific films), which may do comparisons across films. It should be prose based, because the "objective" data isn't able to be compared across time. A spitting example of that is Friday the 13th, which was hated by critics in 1980, but gets much more favorable reviews now because people view it as a staple of the genre. Surangani (film) redirect to Arrambam
I think Surangani (film) was an article related to a Sinhala language film of 1955 to which T. R. Pappa composed the music. You have redirected the article on 16 January 2013. So I am unable to verify the contents of the article. Are you sure it was not an article about the Sinhala film?--UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 02:58, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- Surangani is indeed a Sinhala I have recreated it, you may do the rest. --Kailash29792 (talk) 03:27, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry, I do not know details to write the article. I also do not know how to retrieve the contents of the article lost by the redirect. Anyway, I will try to add the details available on the List of Sri Lankan films of the 1950s. When I was looking for something else, I found this article was re-directed. Let some Sri Lankan editors complete the article.--UKSharma3 (User | talk | Contribs) 01:29, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
Mullum Malarum
Your tryst with this FAC is something unusual man. I must admit, this time, that you have done more for the article than what the article did for you. Veera Narayana 08:41, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
The FAC failure for the third time really hit me hard. And I don't blame myself, rather Tony for not saying if his comments were resolved, and Clikity for giving oppose without any comments. Though you and Aoba gave support, I thought that could triumph Clikity's baseless oppose and Tony's undecided verdict. But I think I should try for a PR regarding prose before the next FAC. And I may not be the only nominator. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:36, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
- I don't think Ssven2 would deny help, though i am not sure if he has the time for that. Thamizhan1994 has retired, Vensatry may not show any interest to participate (it would be unethical too, given he was the one who opposed the article's first FAC citing WP:MIRROR). I, well, lack knowledge of Tamil. So, i think, this time too you may have to wage a lone war, with help from Ssven2. Good luck, with Thiruvilaiyadal at least.
