Welcome

[edit]

Hello, KWehling and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! • Lingzhi(talk) 09:39, 11 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hi KWehling. I work with the Wiki Education Foundation, and help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment. If there's anything I can do to help with your assignment (or, for that matter, any other aspect of Wikipedia) please feel free to drop me a note. Girl In Translation

[edit]

I moved Girl In Translation to Draft:Girl In Translation. Creating an almost empty article like that in the mainspace is asking for it to be deleted. Please work on it in draft space and put it through AfC when it's ready for public consumption. Bazj (talk) 14:34, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets and switch on ProveIt, you'll get a tool which will make it a lot easier to add fully formed links to source material. Bazj (talk) 15:41, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Book namespace is for collections of articles to be published as ebooks or printed, not for articles about books. I've moved it back to Draft:Girl In Translation. Bazj (talk) 18:39, 20 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
