Hi

Actually I wanted few text to be posted in the article,

"Kannada is one of the major Dravidian languages spoken in the state of Karnataka, which is situated in the southern part of India. According to 2001 census 52,733,958 people are speaking this language. Karnataka is also popularly known as "Kannada Nadu" and the people who speak Kannada are known as "Kannadigas".

Kannada has a very rich tradition of literature, culture and grammar. The language has 2000 years of history. The literature has 1500 years of varietable tradition. The great epics, grammatical treatise, rhetorics, indigenous knowledge compendiums were the great creations. Great poets like Pampa, Ranna, Harihara, Raghavanka, Kumaravyasa, Kuvempu, Bendre, Shivarama Karantha immortalized the place of Kannada in world literature. Great social reformers and Bhakti Poets like Basavanna, Allma Prabhu, Purandara Dasa, Kanaka Dasa have an indelible imprints.

Kannada language came in contact with many other languages like Prakrit, Sanskrit, Perso-Arabic and English at different times and enriched its repertoire. In the true tradition of assimilation as can be seen in all spheres in India, Kannada and Kannadigas have always welcomed virtues from all directions. Karnataka is, then, the land of varietable arts and artifacts. This can be seen in the language, literature and in the performing arts in a more pronounced manner. The most astounding fusion of northern and southern style of temple architecture found its base in this land.

Modern Kannada exhibits potentiality of expressing itself in any subject, in any manner. Learning Kannada means enriching one self with the new experience. "

I would generally like to have the second paragragh in the article.

Your Template:KarnatakaHistory is looking good. I will change the name of my template with the spaces you mention. Now the template only covers 4th-16th century. Do we extend it to 20th century and also to pre-historic BC's? I felt cramming in too much into one template would make it difficult to read. Why dont we make multiple templates based on the context. I mean one template for 4-16th century, one for 16th-20th century? If that is acceptable, then I can rename the template I created to "Template:History of medieval Karnataka"

Template:HistoryofKarnataka-->shall I rename it "History of medieval Karnataka" (if we plan to ,make seperate templates?)Dineshkannambadi 02:27, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Template:Historical Places in Karnataka will look really good when expanded to include many moe historical places. Eventually this will land in the "Architecture of Karnataka" and perhaps in other articles as well.Dineshkannambadi 02:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Your Karnataka History template should mention, Bijapur Sultanate and Bahamani Sultanate. We can exclude Kalachuris because there rule was extremely shortlived.Dineshkannambadi 14:17, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

New pages bot

Hey, your experiment here seems to be working fairly well. I think you should suggest this bot for the India wikiproject too. But it may be a challenge coming up with a fine tuned set of keywords for India. Sarvagnya 20:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

As mentioned in Wikiproject India newsletter of March 2007, the weekly collaboration of the Indian wikiproject has fallen from its once high feats. This message is to request the users to visit the collaboration page and help rejuvenate it.

The present collaboration of the week is Religion in India. Please go through the talk page of the article to see the proposed changes in the article. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 17:24, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the Barnstar!

Thank you for noticing. It is extremely kind of you as I see you contributing a great deal of work yourself on Dinesh's articles as well as other work. The template for the Political history of medieval Karnataka article is beautiful. Thank you again. Sincerely, --Mattisse 17:56, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what to do then

I'm removing a fair amount per Dinesh's instructions but I am unsure on some whether he would agree. Do you think I should just go ahead and remove what I think should be removed? (He said about one para's worth needed to be removed from Social and 2 para's worth from Economy.) What do you think I should do? Sincerely, --Mattisse 18:41, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

I should add this is the way we have usually operated in the past, as he is busy during the day and I can't usually work at night, so we are not working at the same time. --Mattisse 18:46, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Re:Karnataka-geo-stub

I was referring to WP:SELF. We should keep internal Wikipedia links out of article space as much as possible. Category:Template-Class Karnataka articles already serves the purpose of collecting Karnataka related templates. Your thoughts? Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 06:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Point taken. I have reverted myself. I see that you are replacing Indian categories with Karnataka specific categories, but when you do that, can you please add the Indian category as the parent category for state one? For example. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 15:48, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 07:34, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Could you help me?

I need help to protect myself. But I cannot get any. Maybe you are sophisticated enough to know what I should do. Sincerely, --Mattisse 02:32, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

P.S. I am stalked everywhere so remember that in any answer you give me. --Mattisse 02:32, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I have avoided their articles. although they have not avoided mine.

I do not edit any of them. They are after me personally and have been for the last 10 months because of a mistake I made in July 2006 which was not very big in the whole scheme of things -- not to minimise my responsibility. I have not edited their articles since last September. I am not even interested in their articles. My mistake was to put "fact" tags and "unsourced" tags on some of the many hundreds of articles they put on Wikipedia at that time. I was not appropriate, as I went overboard. Fred Bauder has said I should never add tags to articles, ever. I am not valued so no one cares to be fair about me. Part of my user pages were blanked today. I can get no protection for that. I have been stalked relentlessly for nine months. I do not know where to turn.

Again,I say, I do not edit any of their articles and have no interest in doing so. That has nothing to do with it. They want to "win" by driving me away. I have asked for help for a long time. But I am ready to leave Wikipedia, as I realise now I will never be left alone to merely edit and write. Good editing and writing is not valued here by the higher ups. My harassers have even trashed some of my India articles. I do not touch theirs. Do you have any advice? The higher ups protect them. I am only asking you as a desperate last effort. Sincerely, --Mattisse 03:05, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Please do

I give you permission for any thing. They edit primarily neopagan and Freemason articles. I probably will not be editing for a while as I am exhausted and have lost my taste for it. The joy is gone. But look through my previous edits. I do not think you will find one of their articles on there. I am thankful for you interest. Besides India, I basically edit articles on rivers, dams, reservoirs, parks, music etc. Nothing directly religious - neopagan or otherwise, and I am not sure what Freemasons are. Thank you so much. And please feel free to ask me any questions you want. Last summer/fall I had a problem with my grandchildren suddenly being in my house unexpectedly. It seems they created some sock puppets that caused some (in my mind) minor trouble.

In any case, they were caught quickly amd shut down. Since I am not on very good terms with my grandchildren right now, espeially the two oldest, I did not get a straight story from them. I did not supervise them properly, I acknowledge and take responsiblity for. The oldest is almost 17 and I was naive and did not think. I do not know whether he was tring to harm me on Wikipedia or whether he was just playing around. He is technically way more sophisticated than I am. But in any case, that was last summer/fall. I have done nothing wrong since. But I have been stalked and harassed relentlessly. So it is personal. They want to win by driving me off. In fact they were all found to be a sock puppet ring themselves operating at least since last spring and have been shut down. But they arise again in various incarnations and continue their relentless pursuit of me. I thank you deeply for your interest. Sincerely, --Mattisse 03:43, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I have been working on articles to keep busy but that does not allow enough time for self protection

And I am too exhausted now for editing in the near future. I have more complaints filed against me. I find if I don't answer them I get into more trouble. They make up their own story and then that becomes reality. No one looks at evidence or contributions as that does not count. The "they" were User:Ekajati and Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Ekajati. User:Jefferson Anderson is a suspected one as he appeared immediately after with exactly the same MO and is a sock of User:Frater Xyzzy. However, he "leaves" periodically whenever a block seems imminent.

Today, after blanking some parts of my user page, he announced he was leaving and assuming a new unknown name. So who knows what is in store now. For sure even rockier times for me. So as you can see, I have my hands full. I have been on the computer for the last 12 hours or so today trying to defend myself and figure out how to protect myself and have not had the time to edit at all. I am exhausted and will not have energy I predict to edit seriously for the time being. I am sorry, but I am almost 66 years old. This is all too much for me. I have not eaten in days. I cannot handle this and will surely shortly leave Wikipedia. It is affecting my health seriously. Thank you for your interest though! --Mattisse 04:27, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
