Your GA nomination of Hermann Hoth

[edit]

The article Hermann Hoth you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Hermann Hoth for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. September music

[edit]
September songs

Thank you for improving articles in September! Yesterday, we sang old music for two choirs at church, pictured, scroll to the image of the organ of the month of the Diocese of Limburg (my perspective), and if you have time, watch the video about it. And today I wrote an article about music premiered today, Like as the hart. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:56, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sept. 2022

[edit]

Good morning K.e. I am new here and as such I have spent quite a while reading policy pages. i thought I had a handle on the image policy.. apparently not 😁😁. What I really don't understand is why can two of the five people's pictures be used, but the other three can't. Can you help me understand. That is in advance... re 5th SS Panzer division. Unnecessarily (talk) 14:36, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Unnecessarily: the policy on non-free images is described here: Wikipedia:Non-free_content#Policy_2; their use has to be minimal and only when their presence "would significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." The other images in the list are free: 5th_SS_Panzer_Division_Wiking#Commanders, hence they could be used anywhere.
Separately, this edit [1] at Rudolf Lehmann (SS officer), it does not appear to "enhance" the article, but seems to have merely restored a previous version of it. FYI, the Wehrmachtbericht references are deprecated. I reverted the edit. --K.e.coffman (talk) 04:07, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply, I had assumed since the pics were already in wikipedia, that they were free...I will research more next time. As for the other one..I am not sure what happened with that but I have corrected it also. Unnecessarily (talk) 13:37, 24 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
