Welcome!
Hello, Jwkuehne, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome!
Re your comment here: [1]: Please use article talk pages only for discussion of article content, not for comments about other editors. For other purposes see for example WP:DR.
You're welcome to ask me questions on my talk page about how to edit Wikipedia; however I'm editing less often these days so you might have to wait weeks for a response from me. ☺Coppertwig (talk) 22:09, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi, Jwkuehne. I was looking at your contributions and I noticed that you removed some links from some articles. [2] [3] [4] [5] Would you please tell me the reason why? I'm not particularly familiar with those articles or those links, so you might have good reasons according to Wikipedia policy, or if not, I'm thinking maybe the links could be put back in. Also, in general, when you edit an article please put something meaningful in the edit summary, for example "removing link due to copyright concerns" or "removing link; redundant" etc. This saves other editors time so they may not have to do extensive investigation to try to figure out whether the link should be put back in or not. You can type something in the "Edit summary" box when you are doing an edit, and it shows up when people list the page history. See WP:Edit summary. Thanks ☺Coppertwig (talk) 16:22, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
