ATP citrate lyase
[edit]Concerning the experimental details about a crystallographic structure that you have added to the ATP citrate lyase article, please note that it is not appropriate to include such detailed information about one particular crystal of one particular protein in an article about an enzyme family. The crystallization conditions that were used to produce the structure as well as the resolution and space group of the diffraction pattern are not terribly important for a general encyclopedia article. A protein crystal is a artificial human creation that does not exist in nature. What is interesting about the crystal is that it enables one to determine the three dimensional structure of the protein. The structure in turn gives insight about the function and mechanism of action.
Also, are you making these edits as a class assignment? If so, I would really appreciate if your instructor would contact me. I have a lot of hints that would save the students in your class a lot of work as well as reduce the amount of cleanup editing that other editors have to do afterwords. Thanks.
