Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Justinbrewer1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I do know the subject which is not a COI according to guidelines. Also I find it odd that the person who has repeatedly undone the actor's edits is not considered in an edit war. The edits I made are factual. The credits that keep getting cut are factual. I didn't disagree with editorial edits that were made as the actor was unaware that they are taboo on the page. I am glad to hear there is an openness to discuss this. The person who last made the edits made false accusations , i.e. conflict of interest or being paid without once asking me. They made this accusations in the public which you ask people to refrain from. Has that person been addressed? They made no attempt to resolve any of this.
And I see one of these people AGAIN changed everything I had edited back to her edit. and then falsely claimed I was a COI editor.
I myself have been subject to edits on my page that were clearly not intended with good will. There is a warning on my page against such editing that it appears you folks added. If they can prove an edit is false then they should do so here. One such edit that I left is whether he is a producer. I don't know either way so i left it.
This is not my first time here. It IS my first time being swarmed by bullies who seem more focused on getting revenge for daring to change an edit than being part of a collaborative community. I of course do not count you in that group Bill. I appreciate you reaching out. I will also suggest to Johnathan that he ask for a page protection. Hi @Justinbrewer1: The nature of your edits, including add back in an Amazon shop reference which is complete no-no on Wikipedia, makes me think your either have a conflict of interest, or you are a paid editor. I added you to the entry at Johnathon Schaech in the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. scope_creepTalk 16:10, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Neither is true. I am lead to believe that you seem to be obsessed with this guy and for some reason have it out for him. I too would have to assume you have a conflict of interest. some editorial references that were made "handsome" etc. I didn't touch. But deleting a director or a co-star from a film entry smacks of an obsessive interest that goes beyond just an uninterested party edit. Also the term "starring" is a subjective term used for various levels of roles in film. I am a member of SAG/AFTRA and I am quite familiar with them. Wikipedia is about being fair and objective and neither apply to your actions and attitude. i too will be noting your conflict of interest. Justinbrewer1 (talk) 17:16, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 23:02, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
