What Wikipedia is not
[edit]Please read our policy on what Wikipedia is not; you'll note that it says that Wikipedia isn't a social networking site. I've deleted your edit to Wikipedia talk:Talk page; please focus on improving Wikipedia as an encyclopedia. If you have any questions about that, please feel free to ask at my user talk page, or at the help desk. Thanks. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 14:12, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Ski Wing, Allegany, NY
[edit]Whether there is anyplace on Wikipedia that is the right place to "bring up" this subject depends on what you mean by "bring up". If you mean "chat about it with others who remember it", then WP:NOT is relevant. If you mean "include some information about it in Wikipedia", then you might want to post something on a page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Ski You might also post at the talk page of Allegany County, New York. (I couldn't find an article solely about ski areas in New York, but I didn't look very hard; that of course would be a good place as well.)
If you do want to write an article, please take a look at the index for instructional/reference pages that are relevant to new articles. In particular, you need to have reliable sources; it's not enough to collect oral histories. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 19:32, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
