Quick question
[edit]Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! Can you explain why you removed so much content in this edit? Not grilling you, just wondering why. :) signed, SpringProof talk 17:01, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
- It looked like borderline advertising with it's feature list. It just seemed like it could be rewritten with a higher quality. I do not have time to rewrite it right now. JustAnAmateurEditor1 (talk) 17:04, 24 March 2024 (UTC)
AIV
[edit]You should not be reporting users at WP:AIV. You apparently don't understand which editors are reportable. Please stop.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:37, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bbb23 I am very sorry, can you give me another chance and link me to the guidelines? Please assume good faith. JustAnAmateurEditor1 (talk) 00:10, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, I'm not your mentor. All I can tell you is you're too inexperienced to report users at AIV.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:37, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bbb23 I saw the user vandalize the same page numerous times, and was in a hurry so I assumed their other edit was vandalism too. I have caught many other vandals (but I checked their edits first) and felt overconfident. JustAnAmateurEditor1 (talk) 00:39, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

Previous account(s)?
[edit]Hi JustAnAmateurEditor1, have you edited Wikipedia using a different username before? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:23, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- @ToBeFree Why? I used to have an account but did not use it for anything. I forgot my password and started a new one. JustAnAmateurEditor1 (talk) 00:24, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick clarification – that's okay, no worries. I would only be concerned about accounts that have actually been used for editing. And not just one or two edits, but rather a lot of them, before getting discouraged and returning with a new account. The quick jump towards reviewing others' contributions and rollbacking them and reporting users seemed to match the behavior of a few sockpuppeteers that have caused a headache to administrators for years. Feel free to delete this section; I'm sorry for my misinterpretation. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:29, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:53, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
