Hi Frost,
Thanks a lot for checking my edit! I am learning how to use wikipedia and thought the sources were okay (given that they are all trustworthy and the cases of telegraaf en quote quite renowned journalistic media companies.
Could you specify on which of the 4 bases the sources were considered unreliable? Keen to learn and improve!
Thanks in advance! Jurianus (talk) 12:11, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't seem reliable or independent as it publishes press releases, which means anyone can pay to be published. This seems reliable but not significant. This looks okay but doesn't seem significant either. Here's a link for more information: Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline. Frost 13:05, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, fully agree with you on the first source, and thanks for the additional information. But just so i understand you correctly, a news article that says something was founded by someone is not a significant source supporting that fact? And neither is an article on an investment a good source supporting a statement about that very investment? Jurianus (talk) 14:16, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable sources that are not significant can be used to support individual statements, as long as the content added accurately matches the source. The importance of significant coverage here is to establish notability for the subject to comply with Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. Frost 16:01, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
