Your recent edits
[edit]Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 19:21, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
No personal attacks
[edit]Regarding this edit; With regard to your comments on Talk:Visual kei: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Pairadox 04:19, 9 September 2007 (UTC) It was not a personal attack, I would like it if you stop editing my talk page, as I have no desire to converse with you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jun kaneko (talk • contribs)
- You are correct, I meant to use the Assume good faith warning. By stating that editors have not read the material, you are assuming bad faith. While not as severe as personal attacks, it still creates an environment of hostility and you should stop. Pairadox 04:31, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- That is correct, but he vandalise the post. A post that provided extensive coverage on the subject, and correct translation of the Japaense word. All with relaible sources. While keeping the relevant information, and sources from the previous version. Jun kaneko 04:38, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
suggestions
[edit]Hi! I have some suggestions for you. First, when working on a page, use the "show preview" button instead of the "save page" button. You can see what your page will look like before you save it. It is considered better to make one or two edits than many small ones.
Second, when you add material, we need in line citations. Cali Gari is an example of an article with in line citations - everything has a reference. Cascade (band) just has a list of "References" at the bottom, which is something we try to avoid.
To give you a place to start: List of bands from Japan and List of visual kei bands - there are lots of articles that need attention. I am currently working on providing sources for all the visual kei bands, working A - D.
The visual kei page is currently in a status called "request for comment." This means we are going to discuss, for a full month, if it is a genre or not. So don't worry about making changes to the page right away, we should take our time about it.
Last - I really wanted to thank you for finding such good sources to use, I have already used them in other articles (like Cali Gari). Denaar 14:33, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I mostly wanted to explain what Visual Kei is, because many international people, that have yet to travel to Japan, have the wrong idea. You are correct, it is in need of attention. However to be honest, I do not know much about the new Visual Kei bands. I have since provided more information for Blankey Jet City, with a HMV article as a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jun kaneko (talk • contribs)
- Hey that's totally cool, and I agree with you! :) How about this article Japanese_rock - there is really nothing there, and I don't know anything about historical bands, just the current ones. Could you find some references for that? Denaar 18:54, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
edit summaries
[edit]Hi Jun kaneko... I noticed that you have not been using "edit summaries". It's better to use them for many reasons. One reason is that when there is no edit summary, it attracts extra attention on the "recent changes" list and in other places - because almost all edits include summaries.
Here is an article that describes how to use them and why they are important: Help:Edit summary.
It's up to you if you want to use them or not, but I thought you might find this information helpful. Best wishes... --Parsifal Hello 07:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I did use it before, but users such as Cyrus XIII, ignored what was written in the summary. Anyway, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jun kaneko (talk • contribs)
- OK, it's your choice. But keep in mind, Cyrus XIII is just one person; the edit summaries are used for lots of reasons. Anyway - no pressure, do it however you wish, I'm just offering a helpful hint. --Parsifal Hello 07:47, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Visual kei. Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. AFUSCO 00:07, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
It was information that I added, if I want to remove it, I can. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jun kaneko (talk • contribs)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Visual kei. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
Also, regarding your comment above: you do not own information that you add to Wikipedia. Every edit page includes the following notice:
- "By submitting content, you agree to release your contributions under the GNU Free Documentation License."
In addition, article content is subject to WP:CONSENSUS and talk page content is subject to WP:TALK. --Parsifal Hello 01:31, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

- You have been blocked for violated the WP:3RR, due to your continuation of edit warring following a warning. You may return after your block expires but continued violation will result in your being blocked again. In addition continued removal of information from articles will be construed as vandalism and you may be blocked if you persist in continually removing information.
