Speedy deletion nomination of Metromod
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Metromod, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
Anyone with a conflict of interest must avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your family or colleagues, your organization or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
Note that you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. Even if you are not being paid, you are expected to disclose any close connection with the subject of the article, using the connected contributor template.
For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you.Deb (talk) 13:34, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for your message. In that message, you admit to a conflict of interest but you have not declared this in accordance with the instructions above. Perhaps you could start from there. Deb (talk) 10:06, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Deb, thanks for your message and the advice regarding the declaration of the conflict of interest. We will start from there and improve the article in accordance with Wiki-Standards! Could you restore the version to my sandbox? Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Julian Julian.stalter (talk) 07:21, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry, but you haven't declared your interest. When you've done that, I can think about restoring it. The fact that you keep saying "we" is a bit worrying - your user account is unique to you and mustn't be used by anyone else. Deb (talk) 10:47, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Deb, thanks for your answer! I have now declared my conflict of interest on my user page and will also declare it on the Metromod-Page, once it has been restored to my sandbox. Sorry for not doing so sooner. And of course I use the account unique and do not share it with anyone else. Kind regards Julian.stalter (talk) 10:02, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
