To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
Operas and composers
[edit]You may not have known but we don't link a composer when the opera has a link. Whoever doesn't know Verdi can be sure to find that link in the opera article, and two links in a row should quite generally be avoided. Hope that helps - less work for you, and for me. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:08, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- Please read WP:Overlink closely. An edit like this is overlinking. Also—and this is very important—we only link the first time someone is mentioned in the lead and the body. Do not link al-Tha'alibi in an edit like this because he is already linked in an earlier section. Aza24 (talk) 04:43, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry, it's a mistake. Thank you JulBanou (talk) 04:48, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
August 2024
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, in your recent edit to Musical instrument, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Remsense ‥ 论 04:37, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
