I accidentally was asked to help the ancestor of 3 Colombia presidents build Ospina Coffee Company, User:Grancafe who is also the president of the company.
He requested help at WP:Article Rescue Squadron a project I am deeply involved in. This is the same editor who sent you those books by the way. Ikip 04:26, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi Juan Carlos, Happy New Year! I need your help. Did you know that Ospina Coffee Company is the oldest coffee company in the world? Established in 1835 in Colombia by Don Mariano Ospina Rodriguez. For the last few weeks I have been trying to post an article in Wikipedia, but every time I do so, it is deleted. Some very nice people (like Ikip) have tried to help me, but I am not making much progress. I am wondering if you could help me with this project or might know of someone that would. Thank you very much for considering this request. Best regards, --Grancafé 16:14, 1 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grancafe (talk • contribs)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Juancarlos2004! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 271 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- María Eugenia Rojas Correa - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 20:01, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, bot. I know you can't answer, but just for the sake of my own reference: I don't even remember that, it's been quite a few years and I'm too busy at the moment. Perhaps at some unspecified point in the future...in the meanwhile, someone else can deal with it. Juancarlos2004 (talk) 00:49, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
FARC Military Strategy in 2005 listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect FARC Military Strategy in 2005. Since you had some involvement with the FARC Military Strategy in 2005 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). DEA report
[edit]Hi Juan -- Thanks for correcting the misquote of Klaus Nyholm from the DEA report. I found that in the same source that mentioned the DEA report, and must have misunderstood them -- they were talking about Nyquist alongside the DEA report, and I thought that they were saying that he said that in the report. Apparently not, however, it seems that he did say many such things and I'm looking for the exact quote (see [1]) for instance. Anyhow -- sorry about the misunderstanding, and just wanted to confirm that it was a mistake on my part. Take care. -- Jrtayloriv (talk) 21:13, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Referencing Paramilitarism in Colombia in a book
[edit]Hi Juancarlos,
I am an editor writing on behalf of my client, who is writing a memoir-fiction novel and referencing Paramilitarism. Since you did a lot of major edits on this piece, would you be willing to represent the Wikipedia authors who worked on this article in order to give authorization to the publisher? The following below is where she cites:
The paramilitaries: These groups included elite landowners, drug traffickers, security force members, politicians and corporations. What each of these groups had in common was that they each made their own rules in the absence of justice to protect them. They have been violating human rights regulations and have been known for acts of terrorism and controlling an illegal drug trade. Paramilitary violence was targeted towards the lower classes, and those who worked with non-profit organizations like teachers and human rights workers^1.

Let me know if there should be any changes. Also would you be willing to sign a document stating that you give authorization and represent Wikipedia? Thanks. Selfawareness (talk) 18:34, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
