April 2012 edits

[edit]

While your contributions are appreciated, please do not add material that is mostly copypasted from a city's website, as you did with the government information in the Lenoir City, Tennessee, article. Furthermore, please do not remove information, references, or de-link individuals without explanation. Bms4880 (talk) 21:24, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you have to be rude. you are just an user not an admin.. this is public domain and apparently you were not taking care of it. I accidently removed something but i did replace it. so bug off! Jtmarler (talk) 23:07, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore i spent hours working on my contributions. So i dont appreciate you being rude and completely wiping all of it.Jtmarler (talk) 23:10, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, Jtmarler. We appreciate your initial contributions. However, Bms4880 has acted appropriately, and he is giving you good advice. Wikipedia needs to be concerned about copyright, and website content must be treated as copyrighted in almost all cases. See WP:COPYVIO for details. Additionally, please note that Wikipedia content must be appropriate for an encyclopedia -- it is not a repository for trivia, a directory, nor many other things that might be found on other websites, meaning that details such as the current size of a police department and street addresses of public swimming pools do not have a place in articles here.
You probably will be relieved to know that when your contributions are deleted, as has happened in the Lenoir City and Greenback articles, they are not lost. They are still available at the article history tab -- for example, see this history page for Lenoir City.
Please try to cooperate with Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Failure to do so, including but not limited to WP:Edit warring and WP:Sockpuppetry, may lead to your edit access being blocked. --Orlady (talk) 15:38, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/East Tennessee Storm Team. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, or website etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> The Book of Chzz, Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat channel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Your article submission East Tennessee Storm Team

[edit]

Hello Jtmarler. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled East Tennessee Storm Team.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/East Tennessee Storm Team}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Northamerica1000(talk) 04:09, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jeremy buckles requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 22:12, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
