Somena issues
[edit]I hear what you're saying, and have tried to deal with this entry with kid gloves because of the nature of First Nations culture/heritage, and the plausibility of her argument; true, it needs corroboration from another expert on the Cowichan-area peoples, but it may very well be that only her websites contain any information about the Somena group because it ISN'T officially represented in BC's indexes of bands, chiefs, governments, ethnographies, etc; the Sinixt also aren't. I have big reservations about all the editorializing on Somena, but until I know what's dross and what's correct I don't feel right in editing it; or in posting a POV tag, for that matter. First Nations culture politics is a dicey thing....Skookum1 21:17, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
