Media Center article
For third party remotes to advertise Windows Media Center compatibility, certain buttons are mandatory. And ALL remotes, even those from third parties require some sensor, infrared or bluetooth, not just the official ones. Even if third party remotes work, they can't carry the Green button logo or advertise MCE support. My earlier contrib didn't mention the certification part. Maybe it can be stated like this: Media Center PCs require a sensor to be able to interact with the remote control. The sensor must have Windows Plug and Play drivers. To advertise Media Center support, remote controls must also have certain buttons such as the Green Start button and buttons for navigation, playback and volume controls, power and channel flipping. Sorry about the edit summary. If you are okay with it then please add it or let me know so I can add it. - xpclient Talk 13:16, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
Seriously?
Start whatever fucking thread you want. I've been down this road before with people who don't understand guidelines and community consensus. Go to WT:PW archives, you'll see the move to Kaval was discussed, handled and voted for. A move to Brandon Silvestry is so against policy (WP:STAGENAME) that there is no way something like that would pass. That's why I wrote in the thread above that a move to "Low Ki" should be discussed instead. And WP:SNOW has been used to close discussions MILLIONS of times on Wikipedia. But you know what, I love that you posted on my talk page. Go start a User conduct thread. Right now. Do it. I'd love to see how that goes. Feedback ☎ 13:11, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- Don't recall, but there's a search tool on the WT:PW page that you could use. What I remember was that someone brought up a move from Bryan Danielson and then he started bringing up other people like Wade Barrett. I said we should wait on moving them all until they had more exposure on TV... until I noticed Kaval was at "Brandon Silvestry" and I said that was completely unacceptable. When I wanted to discuss it, other editors chimed in and said to move them enacting WP:BOLD because the move was uncontroversial (it obviously needed to be done). It was obvious because there is no such thing as WP:BIRTHNAME. Birth names do not have any preference over common names (WP:COMMONNAME) and stage names (WP:STAGENAME). Kaval or Low Ki is the correct location for the article. Let the community decide that. Feedback ☎ 13:26, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- That's okay, I have nothing against you either. What does upset me is people opening pointless move discussions without knowing (or understanding) the guidelines. WP:COMMONNAME isn't that hard to understand, but some users like Pedigree, NascarKing and others just love to open pointless move discussions (See: Talk:Mr. Kennedy#Request Move for an example of a long move discussion that was completely pointless). These discussions are counterproductive as they waste people's time instead of improving articles. Instead of focusing on article titles, people should be EDITING THE ARTICLES. An article like Kaval's needs copyediting, better images, reliable sourcing, etc. Instead of that attention, it gets a pointless discussion about moving the article to his BIRTH NAME just because he got canned. (There is something called COMPETENCE and every editor is expected to have it (WP:COMPETENCE). That's why I closed the discussion. Because it was a pointless one that would go nowhere. On the other hand, the discussion you opened could be a productive one. I personally oppose, but others might agree. Feedback ☎ 16:20, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

Charice Pempengco
Is there a problem with Charice's picture CCNWM.jpg? Why do you keep changing her picture back to Charice pempengco.jpg. I'm her fan but to be honest she doesn't look too good on that picture. So if you would like to change it please pick a better picture of her where she looks great and besides Charice pempengco.jpg is an old picture of her and she is still so young when that picture was taken, she looks a lot different now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChasterUnit0 (talk • contribs) 03:11, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Charice Pempengco. Users are expected to collaborate with others and avoid editing disruptively.
In particular, the three-revert rule states that:
- Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Diannaa (Talk) 03:31, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Nicole Kaczmarski
On 2 April 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Nicole Kaczmarski, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that, after leaving UCLA and the University of Georgia, basketball player Nicole Kaczmarski started waiting tables at Outback Steakhouse? You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Remakes editing the Film section
Hello there..
I'm not sure what part of the edit you think were opinion and not verified? Much of the existing film section was nothing but opinion, worse than that it was opinion that is actually counter to established facts. Also it's primary source, an article on Latino review, is itself conjecture ~AND worse still it is plainly erroneous; using sided by side pictures form Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, despite it being plainly established that Charlie is not a remake of Wonka and in fact is legally incapable of being so, owing to Roald Dahl's hatred of the first film and it being legally established that the Dahl family would not and never will, allow any association with the Wonka film. The assumption that the Karate Kid (2010) is also either not critically approved or liked by the public, or both, is also opinion disproved by fact. Firstly by the $359m gross of the film (and the nature of the gross, slowly over a number of weeks, as opposed to 50% or more of the gross in the opening week(end). ) The Film received a Cinemascore of A. Public reaction can also be seen as mostly positive on various other, established sites, like Boxofficemojo.com, Yahoo movies B+, Rotten Tomatoes 75%, and even the IMDB where it’s 6.2 score increases significantly when those old enough to have seen the original when it was first released in cinemas and on video / TV are removed. You can also see that significantly more people enjoyed the film (rated it 7 or higher), than did not (rated it 4 or lower) 18,000+ VS just over 5,500. This type of result is repeated wherever you canvas unbiased opinion. It also has to be remembered that the film faced stiff competition around the globe from films like Shrek 4, Toy Story 3 and The A-Team (although that film was soundly beaten away). You should also the sales on DVD and Blu-Ray and the fact that the film made more than enough to get a sequel commissioned. It’s also worth noting that the film did receive generally favourable reviews and many of those that praised the film suggested it was probably better than the original. (There are plenty of examples, not least from the UK’s Sun and Daily Mirror (It’s 2 best selling, although by no means highest quality, newspapers.) TheRealEverton (talk) 18:20, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
Women's Professional leagues
Hi. Thanks for trying to add wikilinks to other professional women's teams. However, making a large list of internal links is not the best solution. Please consider creating a navigational template instead, which would be provide a more reasonably sized means of navigation at the bottom of each article. Feel free to contact me if you need further information. --Jtalledo (talk) 21:16, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
I thank you. I did my best to improve Wikipedia. You know: the women on Wikipedia haven't not a big importance (reference: http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2011/02/02/where-are-the-women-in-wikipedia , http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/31/business/media/31link.html?_r=4&adxnnl=1&partner=rss&emc=rss&adxnnlx=1296482628-WKqXsGSoGM9myNIYsHbqYw , http://suegardner.org/2011/02/19/nine-reasons-why-women-dont-edit-wikipedia-in-their-own-words/). I wanted to put links between the Women leagues. And it in a simple way. It was my intervention. Creating A model: I am not an expert and I have no knowledge to make it correctly. Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling
Hey, thanks for improving that article. Anyway, the summary is only about the first game, I think. And the third SFC title is a board game based on Zen-Nippon Pro Wrestling. Anyway, I will improve the article later, with your help I hope. --Hydao (talk) 19:54, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
BLP & Sandusky scandal
Hi Jtalledo, I made a request for semi-protection at the BLP noticeboard for various articles related to the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State. I saw you at several of those articles battling IPs that were making edits in violation of BLP, so if there's any articles I missed in my request, I'd like to ask you to add them to my BLP noticeboard listing. I'm of course curious how you caught the Penn State soft-I'll-call-it-vandal ... in one minute flat. But, how ever, thanks!
Thought maybe you'd like to see my follow-up. No particular reason, I guess. I am trying to do customized follow-ups ... to various ... more or less marginal ... editors, in articles I ... follow. Well, FWIW. Cheers. Swliv (talk) 01:59, 11 November 2011 (UTC)
