User talk:Jsondg
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jsondg, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! GPL93 (talk) 14:41, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Please help me with the article I wrote for the musical artist Jamie Jones. I would like to ask for your input on how to improve this article so it can be accepted for the Mainspace. Although I am paid to write this article, I can assure you that I am not directly affiliated by the entity I wrote about and I used sources which are available on the Internet. I have read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide before working on this article and I tried my hardest to adhere to your policy. Please advise. Jsondg (talk) 15:33, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- If you are paid, you are affiliated with them. You kinda sorta declare something on your user page, but it's unclear on being paid or not. Please review WP:PAID for the information we are looking for and how to declare it. 331dot (talk) 15:41, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

I would like to have the article I wrote in my Sandbox be moved to the mainspace. Kindly examine the article and suggest what edits are necessary so I can have it published. --Jsondg (talk) 00:12, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- I have added the submission template to the draft. Before you submit it, you state that Mr. Jones won a Grammy in the lead, but the article does not mention that and there is no citation(you say he worked on a Grammy-nominated team, but not if he won one). 331dot (talk) 06:24, 28 April 2021 (UTC)

I found these articles which I think are reliable sources and I would like to add as citation for the article I am making my Sandbox. However, I am having problem doing so. Kindly advise on how to incorporate them. Source 1 Source 2 Jsondg (talk) 12:10, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- Citations for magazines like those would be done by using the {{cite magazine}} template. Within
<ref>...</ref>
tags, add the template with the appropriate parameters, for example, with the first source you supplied:{{cite magazine |last= |first= |title= |date=2006-02-17 |magazine=[[Billboard Radio Monitor]] |issue=6 |url= |archive-url= |archive-date= |access-date=2021-04-29}}
This will produce something like this: [1] (see below for the expanded version). You can fill in|title=
,|first=
and|last=
with information relating to the column of the magazine,|url=
with the URL of the PDF, and|archive-url=
and|archive-date=
with the archival information. If you'd like more explanation, reply to this comment. — TGHL ↗ 01:27, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
