Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident with which you may be involved. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 01:59, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi @Joyce borenstein at illuminationanimation: I came across your coin noticeboard entry and was going through it. I sent your name to WP:UAA as I think its probably not the best kind of editor name for Wikipedia as it may violate the Wikipedia:Username policy, although it may not. On the matter, I think you probably have Conflict of Interest on the two articles you have been working on far. I wouldn't edit these articles any further, as it doesn't bode well for various reasons. I think you should use the Edit requests mechanism, that disassociates you a bit from article. You make an entry in the talk page of what you want to see changed, an uninvolved editor comes along, reviews it, then puts it into the article, if decent. Its a bit slower, but the article ends up being more accurate and tends to be better article, free of the things that plague coi articles. Hope that helps. scope_creepTalk 13:00, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, it appears your editor name has passed WP:UAA. scope_creepTalk 14:17, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
As noted above, editors with a conflict of interest are requested not to directly edit affected articles. You may instead may edit requests on the talk page. You also need to properly disclose your conflict of interest (and particularly if you are paid) before editing further. Melcous (talk) 00:25, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
