Why did you use Template:Rename media?

[edit]

You requested a rename using the {{Rename media}} template. May I ask how you found this template? I'm asking because that template is only meant to be used for files. This could indicate a user interface problem as I see this every once in a while, but I have no idea how a new user even finds {{Rename media}}. If you could answer this that may help us to improve the interface. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 03:31, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I was trying to rename the title on the top to not say sandbox, so I just looked up how to do that and that method is the first that showed up on Google lol. – JoshMorrales (talk) 04:57, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, can you remember what search term you used and/or the link of the result that told you to do that? — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 11:11, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty sure I searched up "How to change Wikipedia sandbox name" and this link popped up: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Rename_media/sandboxJoshMorrales (talk) 18:34, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Now I understand. I've made a change to Template:Rename media/sandbox that will hopefully prevent this from happening in the future, it shows a different message now for editors who stumble upon it.
Please remember to save the contents of User:JoshMorrales/sandbox (if you care about them) to a local file or copy the contents to Google docs or something. That page will be deleted, it's only a matter of time at this point. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 11:47, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I already have it saved, thanks for all the help! – JoshMorrales (talk) 09:05, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Message regarding your other account

[edit]

Hello JoshMorrales, I'm Jack. I'm a sockpuppet investigations clerk, meaning that I look into cases where editors may have used multiple accounts in a manner not permitted by policy. It was found that you have been using more than one account to edit Wikipedia – Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. You should pick one of your two accounts and edit using that account. I also want to remind you that while we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a free webhosting service. That is, it's not a place to post personal content, host personal pages, or do things that are not directly related to adding to or improving the encyclopedia. This is why your userpage was deleted, so please do not create the page with similar content again. Thanks, and happy editing! --Jack Frost (talk) 10:28, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of All Elite Wrestling pay-per-view events, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jack Perry. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

License tagging for File:Jon Moxley AEW World Champion Mar 2020.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jon Moxley AEW World Champion Mar 2020.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 02:30, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
