I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}}
before the question. Again, welcome!
I wanted to leave you a note because I have noticed your edits to your userpage. You may not be aware, but wikipedia is not a forum or your personal webspace. It is an encyclopedia. While we generally allow a bit of leeway on the contents of a userpage, the main use of this website is the creation and improving of articles on encyclopedic topics. Cheers. Your userpage
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia.
I noticed that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline . If you believe that your userpage does not violate our guidelines, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. As an alternative, you may add {{Db-userreq}}
to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's userpage guidelines. Thank you. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 20:26, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- It's just a bunch of BS but I don't see what it'd violate. Tommy! [message] 20:34, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Pretty much every aspect of WP:User pages - Wikipedia provides user pages for participants to use in working on the encyclopedia and for communication and collaboration. While considerable leeway is allowed in personalizing and managing your user pages, they are community project pages and are not a personal website, blog, or social networking medium. 69.181.249.92 (talk) 20:55, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Point taken. Tommy! [message] 22:00, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Your userpage (again)
[edit]While it is in your userspace and there is considerable leeway on what's acceptable by community standards, it should not be used as a soapbox. Please see WP:SOAP for more details. This is an encyclopedia, not a place to help "change the world." Tommy! [message] 10:54, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for instructions. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 12:05, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. Such edits are considered vandalism and quickly undone. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Syrthiss (talk) 12:34, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Frank discussion
[edit]Mr. James, my apologies in advance for my frank language: I'm not sure what you are doing here. Certainly it is not filling an encyclopedia with well referenced facts. You have repeatedly expanded your userpage with content that is better suited to Myspace or a webhost, and have had it deleted, and restored it with new but similar content. You have attempted edits to the encyclopedia articles that added unreferenced content at best and libelous / original research at worst. Those edits have also all been reverted, either by me or other editors.
We do give new users a lot of leeway in getting their editing legs, but you're really right on the edge of being disruptive. Please take a look at our welcome page and see if you can adjust your editing to incorporate the policies and guidelines of the encyclopedia. Thanks. Syrthiss (talk) 11:46, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
