- Thank you for the invitation, I am learning a lot of editing stuff by reading your page.
Wikipedia is not a homework site
[edit]It appears that you are under pressure to produce a long article about carbon capture with ionic liquids. This topic is not a big one because there is no technology. Already the article is lengthy. You can explain to your teacher that at least one editor is interfering with your homework assignment, it is not your fault. You can further explain that Wikipedia has certain guidelines - Wikipedia is not an explainer (WP:NOTTEXTBOOK), Wikipedia avoids placing undue emphasis on minor perspectives (WP:UNDUE) (such as the idea that IL's are about to be used), it is not a breaking news venue either (WP:NOTNEWS - your contributions often cite "recent" or "researchers", which are hallmarks of news reports), and Wikipedia does not aspire to record every publication (see WP:SECONDARY). Your class has made its point - IL's are a possible means of capturing carbon. It you are under pressure to produce a fuller essay, you might do it off-line or leave the essay in your sandbox. Good luck with the homework though.--Smokefoot (talk) 13:23, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
