A tag has been placed on Pranasys requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Andy hoffer, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://neurokin.sfu.ca/bio.php?id=92. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. A tag has been placed on Andy hoffer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Response to your comments at Andy hoffer

[edit]

You commented there:

CorenSearchBot is in error, please do not remove the article. The information obtained from the reference is objective and is public domain information. Others references are also provided.

http://neurokin.sfu.ca/bio.php?id=92 from which the information is taken does not disclaim copyright, so is automatically copyrighted (and, indeed, the front page of the sfu.ca site makes a specific copyright claim). It doesn't make any difference if you are the copyright holder, it still cannot be used on Wikipedia unless you follow one of the processes here. Please note, however, that doing so allows anyone in the world to use your material, not just Wikipedia. There is no way other (at least none that Wikipedia will accept) to give permission in a way that only Wikipedia but no one else can use your material. The better and easier course may be to rewrite the material, but be aware in that regard that paraphrasing, change of first to third person, changes in verb tense, and similar revisions of the material will not generally be regarded to be enough to avoid the copyright problem; it really has to be rewritten from the ground up. Proposed deletion of Pranasys

[edit]

The article Pranasys has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Response to "Proposed deletion of Pranasys"

[edit]

Hi,

I am just trying to help and contribute.

The article can be improved, I agree with that, but I don't really see main differences between this article and other articles about Uruguayan software companies (or from other countries).

If you consider that this effort is not worth it, go ahead, delete the page.

Regards.

You are welcome to remove the prod and request a larger discussion at WP:AFD. But please note that your argument as above is invalid: what you are saying is primarily WP:OTHERSTUFF. The correct response is to remove (delete) those other entries that shouldn't be here as well. Now, you also say the article can be improved. Great - then please d it, by finding the sources that show the company has received significant (not passing or niche) coverage. How to ping is explained at WP:ECHO for future reference. Thank you for your contributions, and don't get discouraged (some of my contributions were deleted too). Wikipedia has to prune some content, and is not Yellow Pages (see also Wiki-PR_editing_of_Wikipedia for why we have to be vigilant about such articles). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:08, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
