... in regards the creation of a new article User:Jordandalladay/ALISN. I have been working on it for the last few days, and was just wondering for some editorial advice/or opinions on the content.

Thanks in advance! Jordandalladay (talk) 22:37, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good. I only skimmed the content it looks fine. The only major concern I can see is with respect to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (text formatting) for bold and italic faces. In essence, only the first instance of the title of an article (and in this case the first instance of the abbreviation) should be bolded. In general only the names of artistic works should be italicised. But see the Manual of Style for other cases.
Also, for a title for the article, I'd suggest Artist-Led Initiatives Support Network rather than ALISN, but you should place a Wikipedia:Redirect at ALISN. -- RA (talk) 23:30, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much RA. The text styling has been adapted to better fit Wikipedia Style Guidelines and the page moved to the main directory (with the redirect page). Best regards Jordandalladay (talk) 01:39, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Glad I could help. Looks great. If you add (appropriate) links to it from other articles (or Wikipedia:Templates) the article will get more through-flow - and so more collaboration on it.
You might be interested to know how many people visit the article. I find it heartening to see that people actually read the work we do here. You can see page view stats here: http://stats.grok.se/. For example, see the stats fro Somewhere (artist collective).
All the best and welcome to Wikipedia. -- RA (talk) 10:41, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. I know you've been "welcomed" already, but here are some links you may find useful. -- RA (talk) 10:41, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Co-agency logo.svg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Co-agency logo.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 17:44, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Co-agency

[edit]

Hi there, and welcome to wikipedia. This isn't really a very warm welcome, I'm afraid I had to delete the article on Co-agency you created. I did this, because the article didn't show why the company is important. The guideline for these kind of deletions can be found at WP:A7. If you have any questions about this, or if there is something else I can do, let me know. Even though the article was deleted, I hope you find this place welcoming enough, and decide to stick around. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 01:43, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:PROD?? Jordandalladay (talk) 02:00, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There are several deletion processes. One is articles for deletion, or WP:AFD, another is proposed deletion, which you mention there, and a third is speedy deletion. In this case, I have deleted the article under speedy deletion criterion A7. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 03:26, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

London Wikimedia Fundraiser

[edit]

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 23:12, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
