User talk:Jonny/Archive/May10May14
Hello!
[edit]I've seen you around a lot and I just fulfilled your protection request, and wondered if rollback would make things any easier for you. If so, just ask on my talk page and it's yours. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:05, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hey. Thanks for the offer! I see rollback being used all the time and I thought it was a good feature. It would be great to be able to use it. =] Also, thank you for protecting the article I requested. Jonny (talk) 16:28, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Done just remember:
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- It doesn't give you any advanced status
- Misuse can lead to it being removed at any time
- Have a look at WP:RBK and Help:Reverting to get an idea of the technical fatures
- you can run tests with it at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- But I'm sure you can be trusted :). Any questions, just ask! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! Jonny (talk) 16:37, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- You're quite welcome :). It's not a big deal- it took me longer to type that than to grant the right! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:50, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

User:RyanG222
[edit]Hi Jonny, Just wanted to let you that earlier in the year you encountered User talk:RyanG222 and made at least one warning on his talk page relating to charts on song articles and/or disruption to discographies. RyanG222 was previously blocked for this and promised not to do it again. However he has been engaged in such edits again and has recieved a final warning. If you encounter this type of edit from the user again please can you inform me? I will be preparing a WP:ANI as this user has a long term habit of abusing/disrupting discography pages. Thanks. Lil-unique1 (talk) 19:03, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hey Lil-unique1. I'd be happy to keep an eye out and notify you of any unconstructive edits done by said user. Thanks, Jonny (talk) 19:40, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- I've had to report User talk:RyanG222

Hey
[edit]Hey, apologies for the 'edit warring', as you called it, but as much as I understand to keep within wiki guidelines, I don't understand why not adding the UK sampler tracklist (which I currently have in my hands) is inappropriate. I personally believe all denominations of an album should be made available, and promos aren't an exception. I'm a DJ and huge music collector, and if another collector was to stumble across this page and would like to know what other versions are out there, they'd need a good source.
I think that adding the sampler tracklist would be highly relevant, even if it isn't an official version of the album. Rather, an official advance promo. Much like the tracklists added to singles, promos/remix promos are always relevant.
Cheers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Surge-N (talk • contribs) 14:57, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

- I do see where you are coming from now. Although I wasn't denying the existence of the UK Sampler CD, I just didn't think it was notable to include the track list on the article. I will re-added the track list on your behalf but as a collapsable table. Thank you for responding to me and I apologise for the mix-up. =] Jonny (talk) 15:10, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

- Hey buddy, no problem. Yeah, that's no problem. I just think it's best for collector's sake to keep as much information regarding all CD releases (whether in-house, promotional, or public) because it provides a more comprehensive look at what is potentially available to such collectors. Cheers for adding that. I've only recently started editing, so didn't realise that type of option would be available. It even took me ages to figure out how to respond to you, so sorry for the delay! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Surge-N (talk • contribs) 16:15, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
- Evanescence Tour (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
- added links pointing to San Juan, Offenbach, Clemson, Fallen, Sunken Gardens, Congress Theatre, Fox Theatre and Lost in Paradise
