Would it be possible to mention the idea that in both plant and animal embryology primordia are initiated serially. For example in invertebrates such as segmented worms primordia develop as segments, in vertebrates primordia develop into vertebrae with associated limbs and ribs, etc., while in flowering plants the apical meristem initiates primordia that develop into leaves, petals and floral organs.
