Your speedy deletion request for G3 Misa
[edit]Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your input on G3 Misa. The purpose of this page isn't for promotion but for informational purposes. If more info needs to be presented please let me know. Thank you very much
Please be more careful with your tagging
[edit]You tagged a page that used content validly licensed as CC-by-SA as a copyright violation. It is tiresome enough when bots do this by accident, but humans should be more on the ball when the licensing template is right there in big, clear text at the bottom of the article. Your speedy deletion request for THEPort
[edit]Hi Jonathan, Thanks for your input on THEPort. This is not meant to be a promotional site, but is intended to describe a non-profit organization in Switzerland. As also outlined in my comment, it is meant to be extended in the next days - We just need a first page to start working on. Since your request came about 10 seconds after I created the page, I suppose you did not check if the association really exists and if it is worth to have it in wikipedia. I would just ask you to do this the next time.
(As an addition to this post - please let me know which parts of the text you consider to be "unambiguously promotional", instead of "from a neutral point of view", according to CSD G11?)
Thank you, H
Speedy deletion nomination of Mangalmay
[edit]Sir, you have put this article in promotion, whereas my intent was to provide all information about my business. Kindly advise what should i edit to keep it running. Moreover, i would require your help in G12. Unambiguous copyright infringement also, as it is coming in copyright but i would like to inform that Indiamart is a yellow page indian website and contain basic information about all companies, moreover the content which is coming in copyright has been taken from my website only Ref: www.mangalmay.org
Please advise...!

Tors
[edit]Hi. I've declined your speedy requests as 'significance' (WP:CSD#A7) does not apply to hills or any other solid objects (or intangible ideas either...). There is a bit of a copyright problem with Honeybag Tor, and possibly with the other one too (but I can't find it). I've advised a rewrite, and if he doesn't things might have to go to AfD. Speedy Deletion nomination - LightSpeed VT
[edit]Afternoon,
Not sure where to start on my confusion in relation to submitting and creating new entries to Wiki if new entries are filtered in under 10 minutes, in your case 14 minutes upon its creation and current development. What do I need to do to not have an informational page for a Globally recognized company - not deleted or flagged for deletion?
You referenced (A7) that the deletion from "JIM" was for unambiguous or unimportant information when the page was in the process of being written. Again, less then 10 minutes a page is deleted, how does one have anything added to Wikipedia?
"""LightSpeed VT is an American privately held company headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, that designs, develops, and sells Virtual Interactive Training Systems primarily to Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Its more notable clients include Tony Robbins, Grant Cardone, Bravo (U.S. TV network), Top Chef, GM, Zig Ziglar, and NBC.
LightSpeed VT was founded by Brad Lea and Jason Straub in 2000, to develop and sell virtual training solutions, advance learning modules to corporations, associations, entrepreneurial subject matter experts , and trainers.
LightSpeed VT is currently the global leader in virtual interactive training solutions. [1] LightSpeed VT employs 50-200+ employees internationally and opened its second headquarters in Wichita, KS in 2006."""
What entry or sentence/wording above can justify that the uncompleted page was for promotional purposes? AWilliams0420 (talk) 21:45, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi William,
- Your article was speedily deleted because it met WP:A7 and WP:G11 conditions for speedy deletion. It may be a popular company according to you but you need to provide proper references to reliable sources. And the article should be written in a neutral Point of View so that it doesn't sound too promotional.
- Before you create a new page you may want to go through the tutorial and a guide on How to create your first article.
- Since you have declared in your user page that you work for LightSpeed VT please go through this page: Conflict of interest. It is generally discouraged that you yourself write an article about your company.--Jonathanarpith (talk) 13:18, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
New Page Patrol
[edit]Hi Jonathan. At least 184 of your 327 mainspace edits are patrols and the vast majority of those are CSD tagging only. While NPP is sorely in need of patrollers, joining Wikipedia with the sole intention of policing the articles is not really the best choice of activity. For one thing it requires an immense knowledge of our policies and guidelines which as a very new user you cannot possibly have yet. It’s recommended that reviewers of new material have made at least 500 contributions of content to mainspace, been registered for at least 90 days, and have demonstrated the required knowledge. I certainly do not wish to dampen your enthusiasm, but before doing any more patrolls please read WP:NPP and WP:DELETION thoroughly, explore the full potential of the curation tool, use the message feature for the creators, and remember to always ensure that creators are notified of any PROD, AfD, or CSD tags. If you need any help don’t hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:02, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Kudpung, I have gone through both the pages that you have mentioned(and some others), before starting my patrolling. I registered in June so its about 6 months now, and started NPP only recently, so I haven't joined for the sole purpose of NPP. But I agree that I'm not so experienced, so I only tag the articles which I feel meet the criteria beyond a reasonable doubt. When I see a case which I'm not sure about then I simply put it on my watchlist to see how other experienced users deal with it. I think only 5 or 6 CSDs were rejected which is good for a beginner I think :). I also agree that I don't use all the features of the tool. I will improve on that. Further I didn't find any mention of having at least 500 main space edits for patrolling. Can you please clarify on that? Meanwhile I'll just CSD tag the very obvious ones. --Jonathanarpith (talk) 15:49, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
- There are no rules graven in stone for minimum experience for NPP. The reason is historical rather than practical. That said, some less important patrolling activities which need less experience do require such minima and are even subject to request and approval by an admin. If you feel you're doing a good job, that's fine and you can always ask me for help. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:03, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll ask for help when I dedicate more time for NPP. At present I'm involving in the WP:DPL.--Jonathanarpith (talk) 15:49, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Your edit warring on the Mount Kilimanjaro article
[edit]Your recent editing history at Mount Kilimanjaro shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You have already violated Wikipedia policy about edit warring considering your three reverts in this article within 24 hours. (1), (2), (3). I am considering whether to report your conduct for administrative action. You also woefully misunderstand the controversy in that article. Several editors of this article have formed the consensus that the trivia section should not be in this particular article. But the master sockpuppeteer Alifazal reverts the deletion of that material every time, acting alone against the established consensus and demonstrating once again his inability or unwillingness, or both, to write in a collective environment. This is a constant problem with him, which also includes frequent block evasion, intimidation and harrassment of other writers across many different articles, simultaneous usage of multiple registered accounts, and usage of muliple IP accounts to disguise his activities. The evidence of his long term disruption to the project is irrefutable. 75.34.102.210 (talk) 11:47, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Just to clarify I haven't violated the 3 revert rule, since I made only 3 reverts (not more than 3).
- Now coming to your accusation of sockpuppetery against a particular editor take it to some other forum, preferably WP:SPI.
- About the controversy in the article, it is supposed to be discussed in the talk page. In Talk:Mount Kilimanjaro#“Trivia” section there is no reply or any discussion. So if you want the section removed, please discuss it in the talk page to reach a consensus.
- I would also encourage you to create an account.--Jonathanarpith (talk) 15:09, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
You should study the Wikipedia policy about edit warring. You are not entitled to 3 reverts in a 24-hour period. "Even without a 3RR violation, an administrator may still act if they believe a user's behavior constitutes edit warring, and any user may report edit warring with or without 3RR being breached. The rule is not an entitlement to revert a page a specific number of times." You have clearly been edit warring on this article. Maybe to get this point across more clearly, a short block on your account would be warranted. Have a nice day. 75.34.102.210 (talk) 23:14, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi @Jonathanarpith:. Just thought of letting you know that this IP address is most probably one of the multiple IP socks of the blockee User:AfricaTanz. The editorial behaviour is indeed very similar and includes among others: false accusation, jealousy, hounding my and other editors contributions vehemently, banning other users from its talkpage whilst being hypocritical at the same time by taking the liberty to write on theirs without any shame whatsoever and of course threatening to report other users. And yes, the reason it won't create an account is that it knows that it will be evading its block: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AfricaTanz. It mostly edits from the State of Texas (Austin and Houston) but it seems it has now managed to gain access across the pond to an IP address in South Africa (Capetown and Johannesburg). I wouldn't be surprised though as the blockee's main account did use to state that it was on long term vacation last year. Have a good day! Ali Fazal (talk) 13:57, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you @Alifazal: for pointing it out. Anyway this IP has not been active for past few days, so I'll just leave it here. --Jonathanarpith (talk) 15:08, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Jonathanarpith
I reverted your undo on this users page as they are entitled to blank and edit their own talk page as they see fit (as they have blanked the advertising and promotional material the WP:SPEEDY tag no longer applies either). Hope this makes sense if not drop me a message. Amortias (T)(C) 15:22, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of MorganInternational User
[edit]Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your note. Please note that we are a training institution and we operate globally. We are the sole licensee of Becker Professional Education in Canada, the Middle East, parts of Europe and South Asia and are authorized providers of many other associations, societies and publishers, including Wiley, Kaplan Schweser, IFMA, the American Marketing Association and more. We are however not very sure about the best practices to create Wikipedia articles because in addition to providing information about our company, we also want to inform our students about some important questions or research items they have. If there are guidelines which you think we should follow please let us know as we are new to this area.
Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by MorganInternational (talk • contribs) 12:38, 19 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hi @MorganInternational: please note that your user account should only represent an individual and should not be shared, so if you would like to continue editing wikipedia I would advice you to change your username.
- I would also request you to read how to create your first article. Basically, the articles you create should be notable and should have references to reliable sources. Keep in mind that you cannot use wikipedia is not a medium for advertising. I don't think you can use wikipedia to communicate with your students as this is not a Web hosting service--Jonathanarpith (talk) 13:08, 19 February 2015 (UTC)

Need a review
[edit]Hello
I added a bit of text to an existing article and I am wondering if you could review it for me. Please tell me how I can improve it. I added:
Critics of social media such as Keen (2007) were concerned with the use of applications such as Instagram, because they thought the behaviours portrayed on these sites could potentially be linked to the narcissism trait. In his book, The Cult Of the Amateur, keen argues that “Self” is running digital culture, and he is of the opinion that people use social-media platforms because they are interested in advertising themselves. Buffardi and Campel (2008) also alleged that Instagram offers “a gateway for self-promotion via self-descriptions, vanity via photos, and a large amount of shallow relationships” However, Buffardi and Campell (2008) later said that the large number of users suggests the general psychology of the members is normative.

Hello there
[edit]Please do not undo relevant information based RS and already accepted reference in Kavery dispute topic. There is no basis for statement that water inflow is not an issue in the dispute. In fact Karnataka has reported it as a major issue . If undo actions are continued it will be reported to Admn and you may loose edit privileges.
Sincerely a wikipedia reader.
- Yes, I know that Karnataka has reported it as a major issue, which is the reason why it can not be regarded as a neutral point of view. Further, if water inflow was a basis of determination of allocation then Egypt would never get water from river Nile and there are so many other examples such as this. Please research the legal principles for water sharing, such as the Riparian water rights. Jonathanarpith (talk) 15:08, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
